I walked into the house with a giant grin, excited to spend more time with Aurelia, only to find Hunter pacing the living room, looking angry and baffled. Aurelia was nowhere in sight, which caused my smile to fade.
What the hell happened? Did Hunter do something to piss her off? If he did, I was going to kick his ass. I wasn’t even gone fifteen minutes. How could he have f****d things up that fast?
"Where's Aurelia?" I asked tentatively, closing the front door and walking further into the living room.
"She's in her room," he snapped, continuing his aggressive pacing.
My eyes widened from hearing his hostility. Obviously, something happened between the two of them.
"Okay..." I drawled before asking, "Care to tell me what happened? Did you Alpha-out on her or something?"
