Aurelia "s**t," Maddox cursed, getting to his feet with me still in his arms before sitting me on the tree trunk behind him. "W-what is it?" I asked worriedly. The loud, angry voices were getting closer, causing the hairs on the back of my neck to stand on end. "No chance you'll tell me where your friend went. Is there?"
