Luna Princess Ayla
Movement was not my friend as I moved around our room to get ready for a swim. I was only able to keep down a few pieces of fruit. I’m praying the seawater helps. How long does morning sickness last? I felt completely drained.
"Come on, Baby, let's get you to the beach," Nate helped me out of the room.
"I asked for lunch to be brought to us," he said as we walked out the front door of the pack house. The salty sea breeze helped cool my hot skin. I still can't believe this is happening, I thought as he led me down toward the bay.
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked, pulling me closer to him as we walked.
"The fresh air seems to have helped a bit," I shrugged.
"I'm sorry, baby," he kissed my temple.
"I would say it's not your fault, but," I looked at him and he chuckled.
"I'm ecstatic," he grinned.
"Oh, I'm sure you are. Walking around like a Greek god, and I'm going to get fat," I exclaimed. I squealed when he turned me before pulling me flush against his chest.
"Never fat, baby. And those changes will be because you are growing our child." He whispered, his hands on my hips. He pressed his lips against mine. The kiss was quick before he rested his forehead against mine.
"I love you so much," he kissed my forehead before tugging me along.
"You'll feel better once you are in the water."
"I love you so much," I tugged him to a stop.
"I know," he smiled, and I gasped, causing him to laugh.
"Oh, come on, my Luna Princess," I groaned at the name as he tugged me to follow him.
"Fine, but you are never to call me that again," I huffed. He scooped me up into his arms, forgetting I had a weak stomach. I gagged, trying to keep the fruit in my stomach down.
"I'm sorry, baby," Nate rushed to put me down as I took deep breaths to calm my stomach.
"We are almost there."
I rushed to the water, not caring if I vomited. My head was pounding, and it was making everything worse. I just wanted to feel better. I quickly waded in, driving under the swell. I shifted, uncaring about the clothes I was wearing. Breathing in the saltwater, I instantly felt better. I surfaced to tell Nate. Looking around, he wasn't on the beach. I gasped when he popped out of the water in front of me.
"Nate," I breathed out. He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I wasn't going to leave my Luna Princess unprotected," he smiled, and I pecked his lips.
"Feeling better?"
"So much better," I replied.
"Good, you should eat now, before it comes back."
I laid between Nate's legs as the waves crashed against us. I hadn't shifted back as he fed me. The ocean made me feel so much better.
"Nate, I think we should go visit our parents," I told him.
"Baby, Xander's mother should be here tomorrow, and he also asked me to wait until he's back. You are the Black Pearl and you're pregnant. We just want to make sure you are safe," she said, kissing my shoulder.
"But, no one knows yet. I understand I will always have someone with me, but it's my father's pack." I questioned.
"And we still don't know about this new threat. As soon as he's back, and we have a plan in place, we will go. I promise." He mumbled against my shoulder. I sighed, frustrated, but I knew he was right. I will do anything to keep our child safe. He placed his hands on mine as I caressed my lower belly.
"You and this child mean everything to me. I won't lose you." He kissed my neck and I shivered.
"Alpha Nate, I'm sorry to disturb you," I turned to see his gamma, Christen. I patted Nate's thigh when he grumbled.
"Luna," he greeted me and I gave him a nod.
"It's okay, just go. I'll be here." I told him.
"Ryan will be here in a moment. Do not go into the water without him. And you stay with him," he demanded.
"I will sit right here until he comes," I turned to look at him over my shoulder.
"And make sure you eat more," he gave me a pointed look.
"Is there anything else?"
"Just link me to let me know you are safe. This is hard for me," he mumbled, kissing my temple.
"I will, alpha," I teased and he groaned.
"Just go. I'll sit here and eat while I wait for Ryan. Everything will be okay," I caressed his cheek, he turned, kissing my palm.
"I'll be back as soon as I can," he kissed my lips before standing. I watched as he walked away with his wolf gamma.
I smiled as I went back to eating and watching the horizon.
"Kaia, do you know when I got pregnant?" I asked my wolf. I was going to have to tell Xander's mother something when she gets here.
"After the first time," she said, and I choked on the apple I was chewing.
"What?" I coughed.
"Nate has always been claimed by us. You may have felt the bond becoming whole under the full moon, but he was always meant to be ours. Duke has always been my mate and Nate yours. Even if you didn't complete the bond, you would still be pregnant with his pup." she clarified.
"And the period I had and negative pregnancy test?" I questioned.
"Women can bleed lightly early in their pregnancy. You didn't have any cramps, and it was shorter than normal. Also, the test was too early. A blood test would have confirmed it," she explained.
"It would seem I have lots to learn," I sighed.
"Together, Ayla. We are doing this together."
"My Queen," I jumped, turning to find Ryan kneeling beside me.
"I'm sorry, my queen, I didn't mean to scare you," he apologized.
"It's okay, I was talking with my wolf." I shrugged.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, sitting down.
"Better. But I would still like to go for a swim," I told him.
"The bay is secured, my queen. Whenever you are ready."
