I’m not sure what is happening to my nails but they are looking horrific! Looking at them while Charlie and I sit on the bench in the town square. My nails are chipped and broken, something I’m not used to.
Charlie “What’s wrong? I’m sorry if…”
I smile sadly rudely interrupting her without even thinking.
Selena “No, it’s not you, my dear Charlie. It’s this… in fact, it all of this.”
First, I hold up hands, showing my nails that are now brown in color from the mud, I can’t get it washed off. Secondly, I wave at all of me.
Selena “Being immortal had its perks, unfortunately.”
Charlie “Well the first one I can fix quick-quick, then we can try and work on the rest, what do you say?”
I look surprised.
Selena “You can fix this mess?”
