I don't know why, but I have mixed feelings. Dwayne's father has terrified me with his warning that the going is going to be tough. Just when I thought that I have left Robert's prison and found my mate, now I am under threat from two enemies, Robert and Ivan.What did I do wrong to deserve this?
“What are you thinking about? You have hardly said a word since we left father's house." Dwayne nudges me to attention. I am startled but I try to act normal.
“Nothing. I was just wondering." I say.
“Well, don't worry about Ivan. He has been my enemy for years and I have never feared him. I am thinking of a way of finishing him altogether, then I'll live in peace." He says. The car is speeding on a dirt road heading to a main road that leads to the small town at the bottom of the hill
