BANG! PARTY!
“Did you just walk into my bedroom without knocking? That's ridiculous!” Kathy screamed for the umpteenth time as her third brother Kelvin strolled majestically into her bedroom, a grin spreading on his face as she frowned.
“Yeah i did? What are you going to do about it apart from whine and create a fuse about it.” She bit back her tongue from spewing hurtful words. He looked perfect in his tuxedo suit and the blue color complemented his blue eyes.
“You seem to forget I'm your brother, quit staring.” He said as she gasped.
“Shut your mouth, i was sent in by Kyle to check up on you and make sure you aren't trying to __”
“It's time to leave, come on you're slowing down the process in here.” The makeup artist said, ushering him out of the room. Kathy breathed in before letting it out.
“I'm really sorry for the disturbance, get on with your work.” She said and turned to face the mirror again,a small smile playing on her lips.
“We're done ma'am.” The team of makeup artists said in a chorus, packing up their things as she smiled.
“Thanks everyone, you did a great job.” Just then, the door opened, revealing her nanny, nanny Jenna. After the death of their parents, her first brother Kyle made sure she had a nanny to look after her and made sure she was always okay.
Their parents had died when she was ten years old and Kyle had been eighteen already. He was forced to go out of his comfort zone and become a parent to his three siblings.
While he took care of their numerous businesses, the second son, Kelly, chose to join the armed forces and was always at sea, while Kelvin, the last boy, assisted Kyle with running the businesses.
“Kathy, did you love the dress?” Nanny Jenna asked, her eyes shining brightly as she stood behind Kathy, staring at her lovely face.
“You look beautiful.”
“As always, nanny, as always, besides my twentieth birthday will be coming up very soon, I can't wait for it.I bet it's going to be a big bang party.”
“Of course, now come on, your brothers party is about to begin and do not do anything stupid.” Kathy followed her nanny down the stairs as her eyes connected with those of some ladies who threw daggers at her.
Her brothers never introduced her to anyone, not even their closest friends. She lived a very quiet life.
“It's so boring in here, it's driving me crazy.” She took a flute of champagne and walked towards the exit of the living room, but Kelvin was quick to walk up to her.
“Miss, heading somewhere?” He asked as she froze and swore under her breath.
“Can you just let me be for once? I barely know the details of this party, and I'll tell you this, it's driving me nuts.”
“You should come over to the company some other time, don't you think?” He asked and she scoffed.
“Unfortunately, daddy won't let that happen.” She said, looking at Kyle as Kelvin sighed.
“It's alright, have the kind of fun you want but be careful about it, you're just nineteen.”
“Hey sugar, who's she?” A blonde lady asked, throwing daggers at Kathy with her eyes as Kelvin winked at her before letting the blonde lady whisk him away.
Kathy scoffed, rolling her eyes. Among her brothers, Kelvin and Kelly were lover boys. They dated anything under a skirt and were almost always involved in scandals which Kyle’s secretary spends her time wiping off the Internet.
Kathy walked beside the pool, her eyes shining so brightly she didn't notice a presence before her, she bumped into a wall_no_ a chest.
Her feet lost its balance, and she already closed her eyes, waiting to hit the floor, but nothing came. She slowly opened her eyes and found herself in the arms of a total stranger.
“Oh my bad, oh I'm really sorry.” She said, trying to wipe the embarrassment off her face.
“It's okay, you should be more careful, watch well when walking in a place like this.” All the while, her eyes were fixed on his moving lips, his eyes attracted her so much to him and his baritone voice.
She found herself drooling, staring and longing for just a touch.
“By the way, I'm Carlson.” He said, stretching his hand as she took it immediately.
“Kathy,” she replied, returning the handshake.
“So what brings you to a boring business party like this, except you're a date to __”
“A date with a business associate. He's really boring, but he asked politely so i couldn't say no.” He nodded, chuckling.
“You're also here for business?” She asked, staring at his body. “You've been staring for a while, you must find me really attractive.” He said in a whisper as she chuckled.
“You're very observant, but I must confess I'm not the only one who's drooling, you can barely stop looking at my cleavage. You must be intrigued.”
“I think i like you already,”. He whispered as she smiled. “Come on, there's a bench over there, let's sit. Then we can learn about each other.”
“What about the party going on inside? What __”
“My assistant is in there, she'll tell me what i need to know. Wouldn't it be a good thing if I got the business deal I want and also get to know a pretty lady like you.”
“Heard they have a sister who they're keeping away from public eyes.” She said and he nodded.
“I really don't know the reason, but it's their choice. I believe they know what's best for their only sister,” he replied.
“We've spoken too much. Let's talk about ourselves.”
“Here, I'd love to get your __”
“My contact.” He punched his number in and handed her the phone, just then she heard her name being called.
“Kathy, Kathy.” Nanny Jenna screamed as her heart raced. This is definitely going to blow her cover. What the hell...
