Waking up the next morning wasn't the easiest thing. I dreaded going out to the kitchen incase Reece was still mad at me. How do I make this okay? I mean it was just a hug. It can't have been that big of deal.
The more I sat and thought of it, the more offended I became. He has s*x with tonnes of girls, but doesn't want to hug me.
"River?" He knocks on the door, interrupting my thoughts.
"What?" I kind of snapped. I felt hurt, and this is how I usually deal when I feel hurt.
"I'm sorry okay? I just don't like being touched," he said simply, as if it was nothing.
"But you have s*x all the time with girls? Is it me? Am I the problem? Do I repulse you is it?" I was getting angry now. Why? I don't know myself.
"That's different River, I mean in a sentimental way." I could hear in his voice that he was getting a bit irritated too. So I decided to build a bridge and get over it.
"What's for breakfast?" I chirped, as if nothing had happened.
"I made waffles, is that okay?" He asked. I nodded eagerly. I honestly thought he would be a complete jerk, but he seems to be quite sweet.
"Oh yeah and Reece?" I called out just as he was leaving. "My dad and baby sister will be calling soon. Is that okay?" He nodded his head then disappeared out the door.
I got up and changed into a pair of jeans with a wooly top. The air was already cold here. I put on a small bit of make up. By a small bit of make up I don't mean a bit of mascara. I'm not like those girls that put on a tiny bit and still look great. I mean a bit less of foundation then I usually would, blush, and mascara. I tied my blonde curls into a bun on the top of my head, and put a mini bandana on to keep them from my face. A few stray strands fell out but that's fine, it looked okay.
When I walked out to the kitchen Reece placed a plate in front of me. The waffles were so nice.
"Did you cook or buy these?" I asked while shovelling them down my mouth. Attractive. Was all I could think.
"I cooked them obviously River." He had a smug grin on his face. Obviously enjoying watching me devour his creation.
"Their great." I smiled.
"What are you going to do today?" He asked me. I was just about to answer when the doorbell rang. It was 9 in the morning, I wonder who was calling at this hour.
I jumped out of my seat and walked over to the door. I was just about to open it when another knock came. Okay calm down. I opened it and squealed in excitement.
"Dad! Sandy!" I exclaimed, smothering them both in a gigantic hug. I knew they were coming this week, but not so soon. I heard a small cough, then turned around slowly. Their was Reece swaying back and forth awkwardly.
"Sorry Reece. This is my dad, Toby, and my little sister, Sandy." I took Sandy from my father, placing her on my hip. She was smiling, her dimple clearly showing. She had it on the same side and place as me.
"And dad, this is my roommate until December, Reece." They shook hands. Dad seemed okay with it. I thought he would freak at the fact I'm rooming with a guy until December.
"Nice to meet you, sir," Reece said.
"Please, call me Toby," my dad said.
"Dad, let me show you around." Which I did. I brought him in and out of the rooms, thank god Reece's was tidy. I was delighted.
"Reece, I trust you'll treat my daughter right." What? I could feel the blush creeping on my cheeks. Please don't do this to me dad, please.
"WHAT? I'm sorry sir, but we are most certainly not dating or anything. I wouldn't either so you have nothing to worry about." I'll have you know that I am a delight to date.
"Dad you know I wouldn't ever do that, just start dating someone I don't know." I said, feeling guilty. Reece took Sandy off me. And I had to admit, watching him with her was cute.
"Alright sweetie," he kissed my head, and that was the end of the conversation.
After a few hours it was time for them to leave. I did get sad, because I missed them. I loved my family's company, and as for Sandy, she was just the cutest. Reece adored Sandy, and she adored him. Dad and Reece got on like a house on fire, it was crazy.
"I'm going out," Reece said while grabbing his keys from the counter.
"See you later so." I said.
I hated being on my own, it gave me really bad anxiety. But of course, I couldn't let him know that, he would think I was a complete weirdo. I turned on the TV to help calm my nerves.
After nearly a whole season of 'America Horror Story' I heard the door unlock. I knew straight away it was Reece, so I turned on the light so he could see where he was going. After all, we are friends now.
"He-," I was cut off by a girl moaning from the door. You see most smart people right now would leave, but I wasn't having this. I opened the door when a girl stumbled onto the floor as Reece stood their, in disbelief. I am an absolute i***t, I know.
"You stupid b***h!" She screamed at me, pushing herself up from the groud. A small laugh escaped from my lips accidentally, oh no. It was the same blonde girl, were they dating?
"Is something funny?" She took a step towards me. Stand your ground River.
"That would depend on your sense of humour wouldn't it?" I was shocked at my own words, where did I think of that?
"Oh you cheeky cu-," Reece grabbed her wrists before she could attack me.
"Come on, let's go have s*x," he said. He led her into his bedroom and closed the door. Not that closing the door made any bit of a difference, I could still hear them.
Once they finished, she left. Used much, is all I could think. Before fully exiting the door, she looked back and glared at me. You could even see the fire flaring in her eyes.
What did I ever do to her?
Great, I have already made an enemy.
"Reece?" I knocked on his bedroom door.
"It's open." I padded in and sat on the end of his bed.
"Are ye dating? I don't think she likes me." I looked down at my nails, not knowing what his reaction would be.
"Kylie? She doesn't like any girl who talks to me." He laughed for a minute, then continued, "No we're not dating, she's just good for sex." He said this without any sense of joking or anything in his voice.
"Are you going to the party?" I changed the subject as quick as I could. I felt kind of disgusted.
"I am, are you?" I nodded my head. I was very excited if I'm honest, I liked going out.
Someone was knocking on the door. Reece jumped up to open it. I brunette girl standing their this time.
"Who's this Reece?" She said, pointing in my direction.
"No one, she's just my roommate." Ouch. I thought we were friends.
"Don't worry, I'm just leaving." I plastered an elastic smile on my face. My turn now.

"Hey," I smiled at this guy. He was hot, and I was drunk.
"Hi," he smiled back.
"I know where we could take this," I winked at him. What can I say? When I'm drunk, I'm a bit of a slut.
"Where." He placed a hand around my waist, pulling me closer.
"My place," I whispered into his ear. I didn't have to tell him twice.
I unlocked the door, continuing to make out with him. We just about made it to my bedroom, before he took off my top.
"River?" My door unlocked.
"Who's this?" He sounded angry, what?
"We're just about to have s*x?" I knew I was being blunt. But I was drunk, what can I say?
"River, are you drunk?" He walked towards me. I stumbled towards him, okay maybe I was a tiny bit intoxicated.
"No okay, I am not druuuuunk," I began to sing it out.
"Look pal, I think you should leave." He said to the now half naked guy lying on my bed.
"No, the girl asked me back here," he grabbed my waist pulling me down on top of him. This seemed to infuriate Reece some more.
"This is my apartment too. LEAVE!" He grabbed him by the collar, and pushed him out the door.
"Reecey baby," I began to strut over to him.
"River, you're drunk, go to bed." Was he angry at me?
"Reeeeeece?" I began to sing his name.
"What?" He snapped.
"You've really nice eyes," I slurred out again.
"Thanks River." He snapped again.
"Reeeeeeece?" I sang again. He looked at me, the anger in his eyes changed to, amusement? Am I funny?
"Yes River?" He actually smiled at me.
"Can I sleep in your room?" I asked. I wanted a cuddle, from Reece. No one else, just Reece.
"We're not sleeping in the same bed," he laughed.
"Pleaaaaaaase?" I sang again.
"How about you sleep in my bed and I sleep on the floor?" No. I want a cuddle.
"But I, the almighty River wants an almighty cuddle." Hug me Reece, cuddle me.
"River go to your almighty bed," he laughed, very hard. Was I funny?
"Reece? Can I have a hug?" He stopped for a second. Then gave me a small hug, and helped me into bed.
"Night Reecey," I slurred.
"Night River."
