Chapter 4: Embarking on a Journey (I)

Celine's POV

"Are you sure you're going to leave?"

I nodded as a response and smiled, "You have helped me more than enough, thank you again for welcoming me in your home"

"You're very welcome... if you need something just call us or if you need a place to stay, you'll be always welcome here in our home. Take care!!!"

I nodded again, "Thank you very much! ingat din po kayo!!"

I started walking away as I bade them goodbye. They also waved their hands as I turned my back and started my journey.

They helped me a lot and leaving actually makes me somehow sad. Even though I just spent a day with them... I can say that they're like a family to me.

We had lunch and dinner together yesterday and it might sound embarassing, but I had fun playing with Monica. Tita Mira, also told me some information about this world and who I should be careful with. I called her tita as a sign of respect... thus, she's also older than me so calling her just Mira would be awkward.

She also told me to find someone because that someone might know the answer behind the sudden 'Waking up in Another World' experience of mine. Though, I was surprised that she believed my story because I don't think others would easily believe on it.

I don't know why but somehow it felt like home with them, but I know that I can't stay there forever. I still have my own problem to solve.

I looked around when I noticed myself back at the plaza, "So, where should I head now?" I whispered.

Tita Mira told me to find Serena, the elf that lived within a forest known as Rotten Grove. She said that my journey towards there might be dangerous so I should be extra careful.

She also told me that after reaching the plaza, I should head towards west because the Rotten Grove is located on the west side of the Eclein Empire.

By the way, the Town of Rigella is located inside the Eclein Empire. Bale compound silang dalawa, yung Rigella ay market ng Eclein Empire pero tinawag siyang town kasi malaki din ang portion ng lupa ang nasasakop nito pero kabilang pa rin sa Eclein Empire itong kinatatayuan ko. Just to be clear, etong buong continent daw na to ay under ng Eclein Empire, that means that all towns that can be found on this continent is ruled by the monarch of the Eclein Empire.

Anyway, if I were to head on the west, I can use the rising and setting of the sun. Let's see, the sun rises in the east, and the sun is located there, then it will set in the west after some time.

I turned towards the direction of where the sun would set and started walking. I guess this is west.

I observed every people around me and all of them looks different. There are people who has pointy ears, there are also people who have cat ears, and there are small people, I supposed they're called dwarfs? and there are also giants.

Mukha siguro akong tanga dito na medyo nakanganga, pero di pa rin talaga ako makapaniwala. I mean, who would've thought that the magic world is actually real? plus, the creatures that are actually unbelievable exists in here.

I tried asking tita Mira about dragons, on why are they walking instead of flying? and guess what? she said that there are actually two types of dragon in here.

These creatures that are carrying the wagons are dragons that are land-based, that's why they doesn't have any wings. Tapos sabi ni Tita Mira, mabilis daw silang tumakbo kapag nasa wild but they behave well when tamed.

They're also friendlier that's why they are used in carriage kasi ayon nga, di nila inaatake yung mga tao.

The other type of dragon is actually the one that I know about. It seems that these dragons that I'm referring to is actually ferocious. They're more vicious than land dragons and they're rare to be seen. Plus, they're the ones who has wings and Tita Mira also said that they're quite huge.

There are vendors on both of my side as well as customers. Tita Mira also told me that Rigella is also known as the 'Town market of Eclein Empire', that's why there are lots of vendors and merchants in here. Dito daw pwedeng bumili ng goods and some magical items ang mga tao kung gusto nila ng mas mababang presyo.

According to her, barter is also a popular mode of p*****t in here. People can use things as an exchange for the merchandise that they want to buy. Though, that information may be useless to me because I don't have any jewelries or products that I can use as an exchange.

I stared at the arc in front of me and saw a signage imprinted on it. Eto yung kapag lalabas ka ng city or town, or kahit papunta ka palang, di ba may arc dun sa taas tas nakalagay welcome - tapos insert yung pangalan ng city - tapos meron din pag paalis ka na.

Below the arc was a huge gate that is guarded by knights? or soldiers? I'm not really sure pero sila yung nagbabantay. Kinakapkapan nila yung papasok sa Rigella pero kapag aalis ka na eh hindi na naman.

Oo nga pala, di na ako nakashort kasi pinahiram ako ng damit nina Tita Mira. Well, medyo awkard lang gamitin kasi di ako sanay magsuot ng damit ng iba but I have no choice. Don't get me wrong, di ako choosy, talagang ang weird lang saken kasi first time ko tong magsuot ng damit ng iba.

Naka-skirt ako ngayon na kulay white tapos may blue lining malapit sa edge tapos pinagsapatos din nila ako. Actually kay Tita Mira tong sapatos and since medyo magkaparehas ang shoe size namin, binigay na niya sakin. Mahirap daw kasi kapag naka-tsinelas ako, mahihirapan ako sa pagtakbo incase na may mangyaring masama.

Hanggang tuhod din yung suot na medyas ko tapos etong damit ko ang di ko gets. Though, maganda naman ang itsura niya pero medyo weird ang style.

I exited the town and a forest welcomed me. Eto na ba yon? yung Rotten Grove?

"Excuse me sir, alam niyo po ba kung saan yung Rotten Grove?" I asked the soldier.

"Medyo malayo pa po siya ma'am, after netong forest na to eh madami ka pang vilage na madadaanan tapos siguro you need to cross a river and a forest, tapos after non tsaka ka pa makakarating sa Rotten Grove" he said while gesturing the forest in front of me.

Napanganga ako ng slight, the hell? anlayo naman non. Wala bang jeep dito? or taxi? charot, wala din pala akong pera.

"S-Sige po, thank you po"

I walked towards the forest and surprisingly, may pathway naman doon. Bale napapalibutan ako ng puno but there is a pathway na kailangan ko lang dire-diretsuhin.

The noise from the village slowly faded and now all I can hear is the crickets. Alam niyo yun, yung kapag nasa forest kayo di ba may natunog don na mula sa mga insects? ganon, ganon yung naririnig ko ngayon.

It's quite scary since medyo madamo siya but Tita Mira said that it's safe walking in here. Baka mamaya may ahas ditong tuklawin ako, subukan lang niya kakagatin ko din siya, charot.

Anyway, bigla kong naalala yung lalaki na dinaanan lang kami three days ago.

I admit that he's really attractive. Sobrang gwapo niya... not being exaggerating but I think all of his facial features are perfect.

His height is also perfect for a man. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that short men are not attractive, my point is that matangkad lang talaga siya and that's what girls' ideal type is like. Even though he just walked passed by, I also caught a glimpse of his scent. Medyo faint lang ang naamoy ko pero shocks, ambango.

Nakasuot siya ng color white at red na damit pero di ko talaga siya mai-explain ng ayos kasi gaya ng suot ko ngayon, medyo weird din ang itsura nung damit niya. Bale white yung dominant color tapos yung red ay yung mga linings lang sa damit na talagang nagpaganda sa itsura nito. His clothes looked elegant and formal because of the red linings that is imprinted on it.

Actually, crush ko na sana siya... kaso I'm quite disappointed. I know that I'm not that pretty but can't he just spare atleast a little of his time to help me? I doubt na mahina siya since he has a sword in his waist. I didn't saw the blade but the scabbard is adhered on his waist so I suppose that he has a sword.

Just by thinking about it, made me quite mad. I know that he's not obligated to save me, but I'm on the verge of being r***d yet he just walked passed me?

Aray puta!

Habang naiisip ko yung lalaki eh bigla akong natisod. Puta, meron palang kahoy na malaki don kaya ako natisod. I slowly stood up and it left a bruise on my knees.

Di naman siya masyadong mahapdi, pwede ko pang tiisin kaya naglakad na ulit ako.

*BOGGGSSHHH!*

I jerked my shoulders upward when I heard an explosion. What the hell?

I followed where the noise came from and it led me into a field. Di siya yung taniman ng palay ah? bale nasa gitna siya ng forest kaso ayon nga clear/open area siya kaya tinawag ko nang field.

I hid near the tall bushes as I peeked on it. I saw two people who wears weird clothes just like mine, and they're standing face-to-face with each other.

"Yan lang ba kaya mo?" the guy asked.

They're both guys pero yung hairstyle nila ay magkaiba ng slight.

Naka-undercut yung nagsabi na "Yan lang ba kaya mo?", tapos yung sinabihan naman niya eh long hair. Di naman totally mahaba, hanggang leeg lang.

The long hair guy smirked and pointed his sword at the undercut guy. Sorry sa tawag ko pero yan lang clue ko sa kanila.

"Water Blade" the undercut guy said then water blades appeared beside him. My jaw dropped seeing such thing, shocks, gantong ganto yung napapanood ko sa anime.

He directed his hands at his opponent and the blade followed. Tatamaan na sana yung long hair kaso he swinged his sword in the air, and the water blades faded?

Shocks, nakakagulat na pangyayari. I can't believe na makikita ko siya ng live, though expected ko na pero shet, anlupet.

Medyo lumapit lapit pa ako sa kanila at naaninag ko ang mukha nila. Ayos lang naman ang itsura nila, walang kung anong weird. They look like a normal person to me.

"Surface Wave" the undercut guy casted and a wave of water appeared below him. Bale parang tinutungtungan niya yon and he began to encircle the long hair.

The long hair just stood there at the center while the undercut hair tried firing water bullets while encircling him.

The guy at the center just swinged his swords and he didn't even move an inch. Even though he's just swinging, the bullets are disappearing so that must mean that he's actually hitting them.

What the hell? ang galing, I can't even see the bullets because it's so fast yet he managed to deflect all of it?

The long hair swinged his sword in the air and... what the?

Yung sinasakyan nung lalaki na wave ay biglang nahati sa gitna causing him to fall. Nahahati pala ang tubig? ngayon ko lang nalaman.

The guy fall at the ground and the long hair pointed his sword at his neck. Wait, papatayin ba niya? teka lang, ibig sabihin witness ako? shocks, ano na ang gagawin ko.

"Drei, you're too confident and that's one of your weaknesses. I think you should lea---" naputol ang sasabihin nung lalaki ng biglang may pumulupot sa kanya na tubig na hugis vines.

"The battle is not yet over!" the undercut guy shouted and immediately slammed the long hair on the ground.

Parang hinila siya nung parang vine na tubig tapos ihinampas sa sahig. The long haired guy immediately cut the water vines, and then he distanced himself.

"Tssssssssssssssssssss"

Napakunot ang noo ko ng marinig yon. Ano yon? may naihi ba diyan? pero sino namang tanga ang iihi saken? maybe they're just crickets.

Di ko na yon pinansin pa at itinuon ulit ang atensyon ko sa dalawa. Exciting part na to ng laban eh. Dumapa pa ako sa damuhan para maitago ang sarili ko kasi baka makita nila ako, tapos baka ma-interfere ang laban, sayang naman.

They continued fighting and the undercut guy summoned different water spells while the other one just deflected it and then he strikes when he sees an opportunity.

I felt a fang penetrated my leg and I can't help but grunt in pain, "Ouch!"

I look behind me and saw a huge snake whose fang is still attached on my leg. My eyes widened in shock and I immediately screamed, "WAHHHHHHH!?!?!?! WHAT THE f**k?!!!!!"

Tangina naman oh? muntikan na ako mamatay three days ago tapos mamamatay na agad ako ngayon? aba sandale, gustong gusto na ata ako kuhanin.

I kicked the snake and finally, his fangs were removed from my leg. Tumalsik siya papalayo at napaatras naman ako.

Napangiwi ako kasi ansakit ng kagat niya. Shocks, wag naman sana muna ako mamatay.

I take a look at my leg and saw two marks there. My jaw dropped when I saw how deep his fangs penetrated. Puta?! halos mga 1.5 inch, tapos butas na butas talaga ang binti ko.

Blood started to flow out slowly on the hole and my leg started to become numb.

Putangina, bakit ba ang malas ko? ano ba namang ahas yan? kailangan ako talaga tuklawin? masama ba manood sa laban nung dalawa?

My vision started to become blurry as everything around me revolved. I can't take it anymore, my body is becoming numb plus my vision is fading too. I can't also think properly... maybe this is actually the end?

Before I even knew it, my body fell on to the ground and I lost my consciousness.
