Chapter 11: A Fateful Encounter (II)

Celine's POV

"Enchant: Ice Spear..."

The surroundings suddenly turned cold and I was surprised to see the ground become covered with ice.

Spears made of ice emerged from the ground and it pierced through the hounds' chest.

Napanganga ako ng mapatingin ako sa mga asong yon... they are floating in the air while the spears penetrated their body.

By the way, hindi lahat nung hounds ay namatay. Yung mga nauuna lang na tumalon papunta saken that's why there are still some hounds left.

I looked at the guy earlier at sa kanya nanggaling yung spell na yon. Pano ko nalaman? kasi medyo nag-goglow ang mata niya ng light blue tapos may mga usok pa sa palibot niya, yung usok na tinutukoy ko ay yung parang mga mist na nagmumula sa yelo.

He looked at me coldly and muttered, "Tanga..."

Nanlalaking mata na pinanlisikan ko siya ng mata. Aba putangina? tinawag ba niya akong tanga?

Sampalan nalang ano? charot lang baka mayelo ako nito ng wala sa oras.

"Ice spikes" he chanted and spikes made of ice appeared.

He directed it in my direction kaya bigla akong natulala. What the hell? papatayin ba niya ako?

Napatigil ako sa kinatatayuan ko dahil sa kaba, ano bang ginawa ko sa kanya? wala naman ah? bakit niya ako papatayin?

Lumagpas yung mga ice spikes na sinummon niya sakin and I heard the sound of it, penetrating something. I slowly turned around and saw a hound who's about to bite me but the ice spikes hit it that's why it fell on the ground while blood is gushing out from its' stomach.

D-Did he just saved me?

"I didn't saved you, moron" he muttered in my ears that's why my shoulders jerked off upwards.

Bigla niyang ipinatong ang kamay niya sa kanang balikat ko at saka ako... itinulak?

Putangina, may saltik ba siya?

Tumama ako sa sahig at napangiwi pa ako kasi ansaket. Required ba talagang itulak ako?

"You're in the way, airhead" he insulted.

"Grrrrrrr!" Chubby suddenly growled that's why I immediately picked him up.

"Shhhhh, calm down, Chubby..." I whispered in his ears.

Hinawakan ko si Chubby sa kamay ko at saka ako dumistansya dun sa lalaki. I walked towards a spot where it's quite far from those two and I silently watched. Nakakahiya naman sa kanya, maka-in the way ka jan, kapal ng mukha.

They both continued fighting and the bouncer one tried punching him but as usual, he just dodged it.

Itinuro pa nung boss na bouncer yung daliri niya dun sa lalaki and the hounds attacked him.

He pulled out his sword and he swing his sword in the air continously. Amusement is evident in my face because every hounds who came near him was split into two. A-Amazing!

His swordsmanship skills are really flabbergasting. He's strong and he's also good at dodging. The combined force of the hounds and the boss were incomparable to him. Parang di pa nga ata siya nagseseryoso but they still do not stand a chance.

"Enhance!" the boss said and his arms suddenly grow bigger but still remaining it's hard form.

He tried capturing the guy but he just evaded it by jumping. Tumapak pa siya don sa malaking kamay nung boss at saka tumalon papunta don sa lalake.

"Watch out!" napasigaw ako kasi biglang may tumalon papunta sa kanya na hound. The hound tackled him to the ground and both of them fell.

All of the hounds suddenly charged at him kaya napatayo ako sa pwesto ko, shet mamamatay ba siya?

Tumalon na lahat nung hounds papunta don sa lalake hanggang sa matakluban nila ito. Shet, ano na gagawen ko? hahayaan ko ba siyang mamatay?

The bouncer boss smirked and he's about to smash the guy when the surroundings turned really cold.

Fuck, ano to? anlamig.

"Ice Age..."

The ground was covered immediately with ice and spikes emerged from it. Bale nagmula sa pwesto niya yung spike tapos nag-emerge sila sa palibot niya.

The ice spikes continued rising from the ground kaya biglang nanlaki ang mata ko ng marealize ko na papunta din siya sa direksyon ko.

Bigla akong napatayo at saka aatras na sana pero biglang may tumubo sa harapan ko na spike. I immediately closed my eyes but nothing happened.

I slowly opened it and saw a spike of ice in front of me. Like, putangina? 1 inch nalang pagitan nung spike at ng mukha ko pero tumigil siya.

Umatras ako ng ilang hakbang kasi baka matisod pako tas mamatay and when I took a look at the guy, he's already standing while holding his sword.

Wala siyang kahit anong sugat at galos... so ibig sabihin walang talab yung pagtalon sa kanya ng mga hounds? or baka naactivate na niya yung spell before siya makagat kay---

Napatigil ako sa pag-iisip ng makita ko yung mga natitirang hounds na nakalutang sa ere. Di siya totally nakalutang, bale nakaangat lang siya sa ere dahil nakatusok yung spikes sa kanila at kitang kita yung mga lamang loob nila.

Malaki yung spike na lumabas kaya butas din ang katawan nung mga aso.

Blood flowed out of their stomach and it poured down the ice spikes.

"S-Stop... please, s-spare me" nagmamakaawang ani nung bouncer na boss and just like the hounds, ice spikes pierced through his chest. Mukhang nanghihina siya and his face is pale, which probably means that he lost a lot of blood. Nakaangat din siya sa ere while the guy just stared at him coldly.

His body may be hardened but I suppose, his ice is sharper.

"Why would I?" the guy sarcastically said.

"D-Dahil---" di pa tapos magsalita yung lalaki pero bigla nalang niyang hinati gamit ang espada niya yung ulo ng lalaki.

Napalunok pa ako ng makita kong tumalsik yung ulo niya and blood splattered all over that spot.

He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket at saka inilapat yon sa blade. He carefully slid down the handkerchief at the blade of his sword until there's no blood stain left then he discarded it.

Inikot pa niya ng kaunti yung espada niya at saka iyon ibinalik muli sa case nung espada na nakalagay pa rin sa waist niya.

The Ice Age that he just created suddenly turned into fragments that's why I felt a little relief. Napaupo pa ako dahil medyo kinabahan ako, shet ang intense ng laban.

He started walking while his back is facing me. Dali-dali pa akong tumayo at saka tumakbo papunta sa kanya. I think I should atleast thank him for saving us.

"U-Uhmmm... s-salamat nga pala sa pagligtas samin" nahihiyang ani ko pa. Napatungo pa ako ng ulo ko kasi nakakahiya talaga, ewan ko kung bakit. Kahit bastos ang bibig niya, I think he still deserves a thank you.

Napatigil siya sa paglalakad at saka lumingon sakin, "You're really stupid for thinking that I saved you. It's a quest, brainless moron" pang-iinsulto pa niya and he started walking again.

My jaw dropped when I heard his insults, is he really that foul-mouthed?

Nakakasakit naman ng buong kalooban ang mga pang-iinsulto niya, charot. Grabeng bibig yan, sa tingin ba niya ganon ako katanga, brainless na nga nilagyan pa ng moron.

Murang-mura ang buhay ko ah? tinawag akong moron, tanga, stupid, airhead at brainless? potang yan, gwapo na sana kaso ampanget ng ugali.

I turned back towards Chubby and we plucked out some of the wolf peppermint. I didn't thought that it would end up this way, akala ko I can acquire the wolf peppermint without being noticed by the hounds but instead, a bloodbath happened.

I carefully tiptoed along the way to avoid the blood spills. I'm glad I'm not afraid of blood, kasi kung takot ako baka nahimatay nako dito.

I returned back to the forest and continued walking towards Lullin Village. A tragedy happened but still, I collected what I needed so I guess it's still a success.

"I'm back..." I said as I knocked at the door.

After opening the door, the old lady smiled and escorted me inside. "Pasok ka, hija..."

I entered the room and sat on the chair. Kinuha ko na din ang bag na nakasabit sa waist ko at saka kinuha ang Auviary at Wolf Peppermint sa loob non.

I laid it out on the table and the old lady thanked me, "Maraming salamat, hija... talagang hulog ka ng langit"

"Hmmm, no problem"

"Sa reward nga pala... heto ang 20 pounds, pasensya ka na hija yan lang ang nakayanan namin. Mahirap kasi talaga ang buhay dito dahil di kami maaaring lumabas kung kaya't mas maunti ang opportunidad namin na kumita ng pera"

"Ay, nako... wag na po. I'm not expecting anything in return naman po. Sainyo na po yan, hehe, may pera pa naman po ako"

"Sure ka ba hija?"

I nodded and smiled, "Opo, this is just a way for me to repay someone: by doing a favor on somebody else who needs my help"

"Maraming salamat talaga, hija!" ani pa nito na hinawakan pa ang kamay ko.

She started collecting all the medicines and she turned towards the stove. Di siya totally stove na pang modern, alam niyo yung sa witch? kapag nagtitimpla sila ng spell diba nagamit sila ng kahoy tapos yung pot? bale parang ganon yung format niya pero mukhang di naman siya mangkukulam.

"Nakakain ka na ba, hija?" she asked.

"Hindi pa po pero busog pa po ako, hehe"

Tumango siya at saka bumalik na sa pagtitimpla ng medicine niya. Medyo naiihi ako kaya tinanong ko sa kanya kung nasaan ang CR.

"Nasaan po ang CR niyo, hehe pwede po bang paihi? naiihi na po kasi ako"

"Siyempre naman, kaso nandon pa ang CR sa medyo likuran, lalabas ka pa ng bahay na to para makapunta ka doon" nakangiting ani niya kaya tumango ako.

Ibinaba ko si Chubby sa sahig at saka ko siya kinausap, "Diyan ka muna ah? iihi lang ako"

I went towards the CR that she mentioned. Medyo magagabi na rin so I think aalis na kami ni Chubby pagkabalik ko para humanap ng matutulugan. I think madali na naman since malapit lang ang Cresthill dito, and I heard there are lots of inns in there.

I opened the bathroom and surprisingly, it's quite neat. Di siya masyadong malinis pero di din madumi, tapos medyo maputi naman yung toilet bowl kaya ok lang.

I'm currently taking a pee when I smelled something. What the hell is that? it smells rotten.

Don't get me wrong, it's not my pee or what. It's something else...

Lumabas na ako ng CR and the smell grew stronger. Putangina, ang baho legit. Amoy, nabubulok.

I went towards the alley behind the CR and I saw a huge trash dumpster. Meron siyang takip at naka close yon but the smell is really stinky.

I walked towards it and the smell grew stronger to the point that it makes me nauseous.

I gently lifted the cover and my eyes widened because of what I saw.

There is a pile of dead bodies on it. Medyo nagdedecompose na siya at nilalangaw na rin kaya sobrang baho.

I vomitted at the side and I quickly closed the cover again.

What the f**k is that? why are they storing a pile of dead bodies in a trash dumpster?

I immediately thought of Chubby that's why I went back but before even I move my foot, something hard hit my head.

I collapsed on the floor as I saw a blurry figure of a man, and that man is someone familiar.

He's the man who hold my wrist when I'm about to leave this place when I first went in here.

I slowly opened my eyes and I am in a dark place. Where the hell am I?

May nakasupalpal sa bibig ko na panyo, and my hands are tied. Nakagapos din ang mga paa ko at nakahiga ako sa sahig.

What the hell is this? I tried struggling but it's nonsense since my hands and feet are tied firmly.

After I help them, this is what they'll give me?

Kaya pala parang feeling ko may something na kakaiba sa village na to. Maybe that's why my instincts are telling me to ask those questions that I asked the old lady.

My shoulders jerked off upwards when I saw a pair of eyes in the dark. Red na red ang kulay niya kaya biglang tumibok ng mabilis ang puso ko.

What the f**k is that?

"I see, you're awake..." he muttered. Unti-unting lumapit papunta sa akin yung pula na mata and I saw the guy who just hit me in the head.

"Mmmmmmmmmmn" I tried speaking but I forgot that my mouth is stuffed.

I glared at him at nasinagan naman ng ilaw ng buwan ang mukha niya. Nanindig ang balahibo ko ng makita kong kulay gray ang parehas niyang mata tapos yung pupil ay red. Mahaba din ang mga kuko niya tapos nakangisi pa siya.

"I'm sorry if I'm about to do this to you but we need you for our ceremony" he said then walked away.

Ceremony? what the hell?

I struggled, hoping that the tie will loosen but it's futile.

"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"

I tried speaking even though it sounded muffled. Maybe Chubby's outside.

May narinig akong nagwawala sa cage kaya napalingon ako dito and I saw a pair of jade eyes.

"Mmmm!" I said. It means Chubby by the way.

I crawled towards the cage and I saw Chubby who's also looking at me. He became calmer now...

He's captured too... just what are they planning to do with us.

I tried struggling and I also kicked the box beside me to create a noise. Malay mo nasa labas yung lalaki na nagligtas samin, baka maligtas pa kami, though the probability is very low.

Sumipa lang ako ng sumipa ng random boxes when I heard the door opened. It made a screeching sound that's why I froze in my position. I-Is it him, again?

I heard footsteps walking towards me and I almost screamed when I saw a pair of red eyes in the dark.

Napaatras pa ako hanggang sa tumama ang likod ko sa pader. The pair of eyes continued walking towards me. Madilim siya kaya di ko makita ang mukha niya, pero lumuhod siya sa harapan ko.

Napakalapit ng mata niya sa mukha ko kaya kinabahan ako. Medyo pinawis din ako at pinasma ang mga kamay ko. My heart beat faster when that someone slowly close the gap between our faces. Almost 2 inch na yung pagitan ng mukha namin and because of the light from the moon, I saw a glimpse of her face.

My eyes widened and shock was evident in my face, i-it's---

"I'm sorry if they did this to you. Don't worry, I've come to save you..."
