Chapter 16: The Crimson Crows (II)

Celine's POV

"By the way, did you know when did the dungeon appeared?" Caelus suddenly asked the girl.

We are now walking towards Forstford and the girl is leading the way while Caelus is at the back. Sabi niya siya daw nasa likod dapat namin para incase na may ambush, he can easily protect us.

"I heard it was discovered yesterday. Does the both of you plan to conquer it?"

Unlike earlier, this girl is now calmer. Nagpapanic pa siya kanina nung nasa Cresthill kami eh pero ngayon, mas kalmado na siya kaya di na siya masyadong nauutal.

Caelus nodded and smiled, "Yup, if possible I wanted to obtain the Sacred Relic that might be in there"

"Sabagay, I guess it would enhance your streng---" naputol yung sinasabi nung babae ng magsalita agad si Caelus.

"Nope, the Sacred Relic that I wanted to obtain is not for me, it's for Celine"

Medyo nagulat pa ako kaya napalingon ako sa kanya. "A-Aba pano ko magagamit yon?"

"You can always practice with it, I'll try to teach you what I know about weapons" nakangiting sabi pa niya.

"You're lucky to have him" the girl whispered at me. Napakunot ang noo ko at saka napalingon kay Caelus, "Si Caelus?" paglilinaw ko pa.

She nodded and smiled, "It's rare to find a gentleman who will accompany and care for you" dagdag pa niya kaya napatango ako.

Well, she has a point. Caelus might be annoying at times but he is reliable.

"Wait!" Caelus suddenly said and pulled both of our arms. Napatigil kami sa paglalakad dahil sa hila ni Caelus, and my eyes widened when the ground in front of us collapsed.

A pitfall, huh?

"They're here" bulong pa niya. Napadikit kaming dalawa kay Caelus that's why Caelus chuckled.

"Don't be so afraid, I'm here, remember?"

Napairap nalang ako sa kayabangan niyang taglay, di ba to nawawalan ng kayabangan sa katawan?

"Enchant: Aerial Barrier" he chanted and a gust of wind surrounded us.

Out of nowhere, may nagsilabasan na mga knives at patungo iyon sa amin but thanks to the barrier that Caelus chanted, the knives were repelled.

"Just stay here... I'll handle them" sabi pa niya samin kaya tumango nalang kaming dalawa.

"Air Embodiment" he muttered then he disappeared into thin air. Tangina mukhang malakas nga tong si Caelus.

We heard grunts coming from nowhere and I was surprised to see a guy wearing a cloak fell into a tree.

I saw Caelus at the top and it looks like he's the one who pushed the guy.

Biglang may nagsilabasan na mga kutsilyo ulit but this time, it is now heading towards Caelus. Nanlaki pa ang mata ko at sisigaw na sana ako when Caelus eyes glowed bright green and the knives stopped midair.

"Air Manipulation" rinig ko pang ani niya. To my surprise, the knives who stopped midair suddenly moved towards Caelus but it seems like he's controlling them.

Pinalibutan nung knives si Caelus at nakalutang iyon sa gilid niya. He directed his hand towards someone who's wearing a cloak at a distance.

Di ko alam kung anong gender niya kasi nakataklob yung ulo niya ng hood ng cloak.

"s**t" rinig ko pang mura nung nakacloak bago tumalon papunta sa branches ng ibang puno.

The knives followed the person who's wearing a cloak and it pierced through his/her shoulders.

Medyo nalaglag pa yung hood kaya nakita ko kung anong itsura niya at babae siya. Mahaba kasi yung buhok niya tapos feminine yung facial features niya.

"Damn you! Enchant: Battle Armor!" she shouted and her body glowed. Medyo napapikit pa ako kasi nakakasilaw yon and when I opened my eyes, I saw her wearing an armor.

Simple lang yung armor niya, siguro parang sa mga kawal ganon. She summoned a spear in her right hand and she jumped towards Caelus.

"Gust" Caelus muttered at biglang lumakas yung hangin. May lumitaw na maliit na gust sa pagitan nung babae at ni Caelus kaya biglang tumalsik yung babae. "Hehe, sorry" dagdag pa ni Caelus kaya sinamaan siya ng tingin nung babae.

"Watch out!" sigaw ko pa kay Caelus ng may makita akong lalaki na may hawak na malaking espada ang lumitaw sa likod niya. Napangisi si Caelus at saka nawala sa pwesto niya kaya sumala ang tira nung lalaki.

Caelus suddenly appeared beside us and smiled, "Thanks for your warning" sabi pa nito sakin saka kumindat. Kindat ng kindat ampota, may sakit ba siya sa mata?

He disappeared again and appeared in front of the guy with the sword.

"Hey, may lubid!" natatarantang sabi sakin ng babaeng katabi ko. Napatingin ako sa taas namin at may nakita nga akong lubid na patungo papunta sa amin. But just like the knives, it is repelled because of the wind in Caelus' barrier.

"Don't worry, n-nasa barrier naman ta---" napatigil ako sa pagsasalita ng biglang maramdaman kong parang nawala ang aming inaapakan.

Shet, may pitfall din dito.

Napapikit pa ako pero wala namang nangyari and I'm surprised to see Caelus floating in the air while looking at us.

Nakalutang din pala kami, shet ang cool.

Caelus motioned his hand upwards and we floated towards him. May barrier pa rin na nakapalibot samin kaya safe naman kami kahit papaano.

Napalingon ako sa kalaban niya at naka higa na iyon sa damuhan habang nakapikit, he's unconscious already?

"Enchant: Activate!" the guy that just fell earlier on a tree suddenly shouted at a distance.

Tinignan ko kung ano ang mangyayari pero wala talaga. I saw Caelus smirked at the guy and looked at him mockingly, "Awww, nawala ba ang mga bomba mo?"

"W-What the hell did you do?"

"I destroyed it"

"P-Pano mo nalaman kung nasaan sila?! they should be invisible!"

"Air is my domain and your bombs are hidden inside it. Do you think I wouldn't feel it?" Caelus said before teleporting in front of the guy.

Nanlalaking mata na napatingin ito kay Caelus but the latter just kicked his face.

Tumalsik yung lalaki at tumama yung likod niya sa puno. "It's your punishment for trying to hurt my princess and her frog" bulong pa nito pero narinig ko dahil medyo malakas ang pandinig ko.

Napatawa pa ako ng kaunti ng may marealize ako, tangina baka ako ang tinutukoy nitong frog? masusuntok ko to.

"W-What's funny?" the girl beside me asked. Napatingin ako sa kanya and confusion is written all over her face. Di naman siguro niya narinig yung sinabi ni Caelus diba?

"Nothing, may naisip lang ako" pagpapalusot ko pa.

The girl in armor suddenly appeared beside Caelus and she tried stabbing Caelus with her spear but the latter just put his palm in front of the spear and it stopped. Di dumikit yung spear sa palm niya, bale may distance na sobrang liit lang kasi tumigil agad iyon.

"You've got an interesting magic, however, you still need to refine it" he commented.

The girl looked at her angrily and tried exerting more force in her spear but it turned into shards all of a sudden.

Di ko din alam kung anong nangyari pero bigla nalang nasira yung spear na hawak niya. May narinig pa akong parang blow ng hangin bago tumalsik ng malayo yung babae. "Oops, it looks like I overdid it, sorry" parang nagulat na sabi pa niya.

Unti-unti na kaming bumaba at nawawala na din yung gust of wind na nakapalibot sa amin. Caelus approached us and asked us if we're okay and we just nodded.

"M-Maraming salamat" nauutal na ani pa nung babae na kasama namin. Caelus just smiled and said, "No problem! tara na"

Naglakad nalang ulit kami at gusto ko sanang itanong kay Caelus kung bakit ayaw nalang niya kaming paliparin gamit ang kapangyarihan niya but I guess there's a limit on how long can he use his magic. Baka di niya kayang isustain yung matagal na nakalutang kami sa ere at baka mapagod pa siya. Mahirap na, baka may makalaban ulit kami.

Anyway, anlakas pala talaga ng magic niya. I don't know how strong his magic is but I guess he's really strong considering the fact that he's quite boastful about his strength.

"Do you know the reason why they attacked you?" Caelus asked out of a sudden.

"I-I belong to a royal family in the town of Frostford. Maybe they wanted to kill me because I'm a heir"

"Well, that makes sense. Anyway, yung tatlo lang ba yung umatake nung cargo ninyo?"

"Hmmm, unfortunately, my guards died protecting me from those three" she said sadly.

"I see..."

We continued walking and luckily, we didn't run into any of them again.

Umatras ako dahan-dahan at saka ako pumantay kay Caelus, "Hey, pano ka nakakapagteleport?" curious na tanong ko.

Napatingin siya sakin at saka napangisi, "Bakit? gusto mo matutunan?"

"Siyempre, ang cool kaya"

"So parang sinasabi mo na ang cool ko kasi kaya ko magteleport? Hmmm, basic!"

"Tangina mo naman, napakayabang mo. Pano nga?"

He chuckled and patted my head, "Bakit ba mura ka ng mura HAHAHHA, chill kalang, ampanget sa babae ng nagmumura" nakangusong ani niya.

"Pakielam mo, sagutin mo nalang yung tanong ko"

"It's part of my magic. I said 'Air Embodiment' right? chanting that spell allowed me to merge with the wind. Wind is everywhere so therefore I can travel everywhere I wanted in that specific area, hence, creating the illusion of me teleporting"

"Pano ka nakakuha ng magic? gusto ko din" nakangusong ani ko. Napatawa siya, "Wag ka nga ngumuso, di bagay sayo. Sakin lang yon bagay, gwapo ako eh"

Inirapan ko nalang siya at saka bumalik na sa tabi nung babae. "'Just keep rolling your eyes, you might find your brain there' HAHAHAHHA yon yung sinabi sayo nung roommate mo diba?"

Napalingon ako sa kanya at saka ko siya tinignan ng masama, is he reminding me of the embarassment that I just felt that day?

Di ko nalang siya pinansin. Abnormal talaga, binabawi ko na yung sinasabing kong nice siya.

We reached the town of Frostford and we escorted the girl towards her home. My eyes widened and my jaw literally dropped when I saw a huge castle in front of us.

Tangina, dito siya nakatira?

"I'm sorry kung di pa nga pala ako nagpapakilala sa inyo, my name is Luna Etheria, and I belong to the royal family that rules the town of Frostford"

Guards lined up in the hallway and a man walked towards us. He's wearing royalty clothes and I'm really impressed because his presence is really something that belongs to a noble.

"Magandang tanghali sainyo, I supposed you two are the ones who escorted my daughter on her way towards here?"

Napaisip ako bigla ng 'Obvious ba?', sino ba kasama niya? di ba kaming dalawa kaya malamang.

Caelus nodded and the man in front of us smiled, "I'm really grateful to the both of you. Here is your reward" he said and handed us a leather pouch. Caelus received it and thanked him.

"Thank you very much!"

"That's 500 pounds. I hope it's enough, but if ever you need an additional amount, just tell me"

"Don't worry it's already more than enough, thank you again!" Caelus said and we bade our goodbye.

Luna waved her hands at us and she even thanked us for our service and we just did the same.

Lumabas na kami nung pangmayaman nilang bahay kaya nakahinga ako ng maluwag.

"Potek, mayaman pala talaga siya" sabi ko pa.

"Oo nga, imagine nabawi agad natin yung ipinangkain natin don sa resto HAHAHAHHA"

"If she's a noble, why did she acted like that back then? isn't royalties supposed to act formally? bakit siya nagpe-plead sa harap ng mga tao kanina na tulungan siya?" I asked.

I've seen how royalties act on movies and her action of pleading back then at the town of Cresthill is really improper, I think?

"That's the nature of humans. Regardless of classes, as long as they're desperate, they'll do anything to live... even if it means sacrificing their ego"

"Di ba malalakas ang mga royalties? napapanood ko lang sa movies hehe"

He chuckled, "Nope, not all. There are royalties who are really strong, but there are also royalties who are not gifted with magic. Just like normal humans, there are humans who's not a royalty but is rich in magic and vice versa. Also, baka mamisinterpret mo but to be honest, they're not really that rich. They're just classified as above average and is considered as a royalty because they're the ruler of this town but their wealth is incomparable to the family that rules the Eclein Empire. They're far more wealthier than them" explain pa niya kaya napanganga ako.

Far more wealthier? tangina, di pa pala masyadong mayaman yon?

"Oo nga pala, may sinabi kang princess and her frog kanina. Sinong tinutukoy mong frog?!" inis na ani ko na binatukan pa siya. Naalala ko lang bigla.

"Aray, ang sadistic mo naman. Siyempre yung babae"

"Sus kayabangan mo, alam mong heir yung babae kaya mo siguro ni label-an siya ng princess tapos ako yung frog?! aba tanginang to ah? di naman ako ganon kapanget" reklamo ko pa kaya napatawa naman siya.

"HAHAHHAHAHA tsaka ko lang nalaman na prinsesa pala talaga siya but siya yung tinutukoy ko na frog, sasabihan ba kitang panget?"

Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin at napataas naman siya ng dalawang kamay, "Pag nalaman kong ako pala ang tinutukoy mo don masasapak kita" banta ko pa kaya napatawa siya lalo. Abnormal.

"Oo nga pala Celine, catch!" sigaw niya sakin saka niya hinagis papunta sakin yung leather pouch. Sinalo ko naman yon at saka ko siya tinignan ng nagtataka, "Bakit mo sakin hinagis?"

"Keep it. Sayo yan" sabi pa niya.

"Bobo ka ba? ikaw kaya yung nagprotect dun sa babae kaya sayo to"

"Oh, edi parang sayo na nga din. Kasama naman kita ah?"

"Basta tanga ka, sayo to" sabi ko na inihagis pa yon pabalik sa kanya. Nagulat ako ng di niya saluhin yon kaya nalaglag siya sa sahig.

"Di ko pupulutin yan, sabing sayo na nga eh. Kung ayaw mo, you can just leave it there" sabi niya pa na naglakad pa ng dire-diretso.

Napahinga nalang ako ng malalim at saka pinulot ulit yon, haist abnormal talaga, nagsasayang ng pera.

"HAHAHAHAHHA gags, sa gwapo kong to... kita mo yung waitress sa resto, nafall nga sakin yon"

"Sus, selos ka lang eh" pang-aasar pa niya kaya hinampas ko ulit siya nung leather pouch.

"HAHAHHAHAHA di ka ba titigil sa panghahampas? gusto mo i-kiss kita?"

"Yuck, kadiri, isa ka kayang pusa. Ew di ako nang aabuse ng animals" nandidiri pang ani ko.

"Bastos to ah? di naman ako pusa talaga, originally human ako"

"Wala akong pake, ganon na rin yon"

We continued arguing and I sighed. Tch, isip bata pala tong abnormal na to.
