“You might still end up as his mate. Even if you don’t, you will remain his mistress and still end up as his Luna.” Whatever my father’s was planning, I surely wouldn’t like it.
“How, father? He will find his mate sooner or later. What if I don’t end up as his mate? I would have to start again from the very beginning. What if by then it’s too late to find my own mate?” All the ‘if’s’ are too many for me to point out.
