“I saw who killed that guest, the man whose corpse was burnt today,” Pearl whispered to me, and my eyes widened in surprise.
First, I was confused. Why would Paxton suddenly connect with me through the pack link if something hadn’t truly gone wrong? What happened to Damien?
Damien had been gone for over a month and a half. I didn’t get any news. He didn’t contact me. He didn’t check up on me or even send any message. I thought I was neglected and forgotten here.
