I didn’t know what to make of Thierry’s words, but it didn’t matter anyway. As I saw it, Pierre would always mourn his dead lover, though he had had many s****l partners since then. He was by no means a monk. I slept until one the next afternoon, then took care of business for the club that Pierre couldn’t handle during the day.
