Ashton: In our absence, the city had fallen to the wrath of winter. Snow hung heavily on everything, with sheets of ice that lay just beneath most of it, and as we rode back to our home, I couldn’t help but imagine the white blanket of frigid chaos was the calm white sand I had just left behind. “I already miss the sun.” I chuckled, readjusting my sunglasses on my face.
