Ashton: “Get up, Reed. We aren’t done yet!” I growled, tugging at his arm. Reed told me about a gym he attended and was kind enough to help me begin training in muscle building and self-defense. I had never felt stronger or more confident in what my body could do. But those newfound things weren’t enough to make me stop counting the days until Benjamin would be released from jail. It wasn’t enough to chase away the nightmares that plagued me, showing me all the things Benjamin would do to me and to Arden once he was free.
