Chap-16

"I can't still believe they are dating." Nam-joo said, frowning looking at me and Seo-joon.

We all laughed at him while Seo-joon smiled. We had hands intertwined as we made our way out of the house into the cars. We were going to Studio to discuss the things related to the people who are after us and also tell CEO Bang about our relationship.

"Ya! Don't say that. They are really cute together." Tae Oppa said, winking at Taehyung who smiled shyly and scratched his head. I only giggled at them.

"Come on." Baek kyung said, signalling for us to get in the car. Seo-joon turned his head to look at me. He gave a smile, gesturing me to get in the car. I nodded my head, waving him bye and getting into the car after Ho oppa.

Seo-joon, Baek kyung, Joo-ho went in one car. Nam-joo, Ho oppa and i went in another. Tae-ri, Tae Oppa and Luca went in the third car.

"Don't be nervous. Luca have already told him about you guys, he was happy about. He is not against it." Nam-joo said, looking at my nervous state.

"You sure?." I whispered.

He nodded his with a smile on his face. I believed him and calm down a bit.

After a long ride we were there. We all entered the studio and went straight to meeting Hall. It was just between Sirius members, me, Luca and CEO Bang. We took our seats, i sat beside Nam-joo and Luca. I looked up to find Seo-joon concerned eyes as he gazed at me. We were waiting for CEO Bang to came.

I frowned and raised my eyebrow in question. He opened his mouth to say something, but looked around and stopped. He started fumbling through his coat to find his phone, once he got it, he picked out and started typing.

Don't worry. He won't fire you ;)

I scoffed and laughed at his message. I looked up to see him smiling teasingly.

Yes i know. :P

I send it to him and stood up as the door opened, CEO came in. We all bowed to him, he nodded his head and gestured us to sit.

"I hope everyone you are in good health and spirits." CEO Bang said, looking at us.

We all said yes.

"You all are doing very good. Luca briefed me about your practice and ideas. Further things will be looked by the managers until now i like it." He said and threw Sirius members great smiles.

To which they thanked him in return.

"Well, about the things that have been going on. How have you been Doctor Eun Aee?. I didn't get to ask you about your health after i heard about the accident." He said, looking at me, curiously.

"I have been fine. Thanks to all of them, they looked after me." I told him, smiling at the end, looking back at them.

Baek kyung smiled at me.

"I see. Good to have you doing fine." He said, nodding his head.

I bit my lip, anticipating to what he will say about us.

"We have got some suspects who send Baek kyung death threats and those who vandalized your house. Once it confirmed that they all are linked together and also the car accident suspect, they will be treated harshly by the law. So focus on your work and don't worry about it." He said, intertwining his fingers in front of him on the table.

"We will do our best." Nam-joo said, bowing his head.

"I know you all will." CEO Bang said, smiling, relaxed.

"And about your relationship." He said, looking at me and Seo-joon.

My heart started besting fast and my throat felt dry.

"I am totally fine with it. But you have to be really careful, no going out together, no picture uploading at all. Otherwise it will cause a big problem. At work place treat each other like co-workers. Keep personal life separate from your work life. Get it?." He said, softly.

He sounded like a father.

I nodded my head.

"You don't need to worry about that." Seo-joon said, bowing his head.

"Good." He said to him, who nodded his head.

"Good luck for tomorrow. Take the day off and rest after the meeting with managers, Okay?." He said and left the room.

"See i told you, you were worrying unnecessarily." Baek kyung said, coming to my side.

I nodded my head and smiled towards Seo-joon. He smiled in returned.

I left the room as managers came in. Luca and i walked to my office talking about tomorrow. Tomorrow was a big day for all of us. Sirius World Tour starts from tomorrow, they had their first concert in Seoul.

"I will hand over your passport at the end of the day." He said, opening the door for me.

"Thank you." Holding the door for him.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot. You have a meeting with a new Doctor, who will work with you during the concert. Check your schedule." He said, i picked up the schedule from my table.

I nodded my head, going through it.

"Okay." I told him, looking up at him.

He bowed and left the room.

"Doctor?."

I turned around to find my fellow helpers. Together we packed things needed during concert.

"Tape them off, write names of things present within it on the outside of box and you have brought ice packs?." I asked, marking tick in front of things on the paper i held, which contained things we needed for tour.

"Yes, Maam."

"Good. Okay keep doing your work, i will be back after the meeting." I told them, putting the paper down on my table and closing the pen.

I fixed my hair and left the room for meeting.

After the meeting finished, the new doctor, who was a male approached me. He was handsome, with black hair, blue eyes, pink full lips, high cheek bones and sharp jawline, tall height with a good build. To be honest, if i didn't like Seo-joon, i would have fallen for him as he reminded me of someone.

"Hello, i am Doctor Min-Jun." He bowed.

Even his name means Handsome, sharp, quick just like him.

"Hello, i am Doctor Eun Aee." I said, bowing in return.

"I am looking forward to work with you." He said, unbuttoning his coat,

I looked up at him and nodded my head, giving a small smile. I left shortly and walked back to my office and found everything done. I felt down from the time i met this doctor, his resemblance to someone made me want to walk down the memory lane.

I walked towards my table and sat down, blowing air out of my mouth. I opened the last drawer, and pulled out a file, sighing.

Records Of The Accident.

I flipped through pages, horrible pictures of my past were all displayed on the pieces of paper.

My hand froze as my heart beat drop with aching pain. I felt my heart breaking and shattering it to pieces. My lower lip trembled as i tried to hold my emotions at bay. As i look at this particular picture of a car accident, in which car was crushed due to falling from the mountain.

A song came into my mind. He used to love this song, he used to sing it for me.

I felt tears falling freely, sobs racking my body. It was getting difficult to breath as panic attack was approaching me.

Why?. Why?!.

I don't know for how long, i sat there looking at the pictures of the accident that happened back and tried to control my breathing.

I was numb from pain, i had no tears left to shed. I sat there, feeling empty from inside.

I thought i could do this.

I thought i was finally moving on.

"Eun Aee?." This man, who thinks he can take care of me and have feelings for me, called out.

How can he take care of me?. When he doesn't know how a bad person i am. I guess, Ashely was right. I always run away when problems get too much for me, instead of being brave and face them, i walk away.

"Eun Aee! What's wrong? Why are you crying?" His arms molded around me.

I wanted to take comfort from him but i felt bitter from hiding all these things from him.

"Ah, nothing. I am fine. I just remembered something." I said, putting the file away so that he doesn't see it.

I guess, i am doing what i am best at.

Running away.

"You sure?" He asked, looking at with so much care.

I felt my eyes tear as a new emotion hit me. I nodded my head and smiled through my tears.

"I promise i am fine. I just...."

"You don't need to tell me. It's okay. I understand." He said as he pulled me into his comfort again.

I closed my eyes and let him comfort me.

"I am sorry. I just miss my family that's all." I lied, pushing him away after a while.

He looked unsure but nodded his head.

"Come on. Lets go home." He said as he hold my hand.

"You go. I have a few things to take care off, i will be there after a while." I said, gave him a small smile.

"Okay. If you need anything, call me okay." He said, he bend down and kissed my head.

I nodded my head with a heavy heart.

He left after throwing a glance my way.

I put the file on its place and dialed Ashley's number

"Hey! How have you been?" Her cheerful voice made brought me a little comfort.

"Hi. I am fine. How are you doing?" I asked

"Good."

"Did you get the money i send you." I said, playing with pencil on the table.

"Yeah. You always send me on time. What's wrong?" She asked,

I could probably imagine her frowning, worrying about me.

"I am fine. How is he doing?"

"He is doing good. His grades are very good, i am sure he will lead a good life." She told me, sounded like a proud mother.

I felt my heart ache. I should feel these things, i should be the one.

"Hmm. Good."

"Eun Aee, what's wrong?" She asked

"Nothing."

"Do you want to talk to him?"

"No!" I sat straight in my chair, banging the pencil on the table.

"Ohky Okay. Take care. I need to go." She immediately hung up.

I sighed and stood up from the chair, leaving for home.

At dinner, Seo-joon kept throwing worried glances at me although i was feeling fine. After doing my chores, i wasn't in the mood to watch TV today with them. I went in my room and studied for a while and slept, i had to be fine and oriented for tomorrow.

Next day, it was too much of a hassle. Everybody was running here and there, orders were being thrown, noises grew as time came nearer. I was going through the a list of things, when Baek kyung came in the room.

"Hey." I said, giving him a smile.

"Hey. I am hungry." He said as he sat down next to me on the sofa.

"I will bring the food." A staff member who was responsible for their food, said and walked out of the room.

"How are you feeling?"

"Excited, I can't wait to perform on stage. Want to feel the adrenaline rushing in my blood." He said, a smile brightened his face as he talked about his performance and his fans.

"Good luck." Giving him a smile.

"Hey!.

"Hello!"

The guys greeted me as they all huddled in. Their stage begins in about 1 hour, they needed to eat something light before performance so they all came down there after getting ready.

"The food is coming." I told them as they settled down on their seats.

"Good." Tae Oppa said, scrolling through his phone.

"Are you excited?" I asked them,

"Yes. I can't wait to perform." Joo-ho said, smiling.

"I want to feel the adrenaline running in my blood. The screams, the cheers, the chant. I can't wait." Tae-ri said, with a big smile on his face.

"Food is here." The man from before came in with another helper and put all the food down on the table.

They all took their boxes with their names on it and started to eat, my box also came but i wasn't hungry so i didn't eat.

"What are you doing?." Nam-joo asked, looking at me while chewing food as he pointed at the book in my hand.

"Ah this. It just related to my.." i was cut off when someone grabbed my hand tightly in theirs.

Frowning i looked towards the culprit but found Baek kyung gasping.

"Baek kyung!" I hold his hands and felt all of them rushing towards me.

"Please move back." I said as i observed him

He had a red face and neck, he was holding his throat, difficulty in breathing.

I had my fingers over his wrist, observing his pulse.

Rapid pulse.

I looked up at him, shocked.

Allergy reaction.

"We need to go to hospital. Immediately call Luca and prepare a car. Hurry up!" I barked orders at my helpers who were standing close by.

"Baek kyung listen. Baek kyung! Try to breath. Don't panic, you are going to be alright." I told him, holding him my his shoulders as he gasped for air.

I heard doors banged against the door, several footsteps rushing over to us.

"What happened?." Luca asked.

"He-" i was cut off as Baek kyung lost consciousness. His head hit my shoulder as his body slumped against mine.

"We don't have time! Hurry up and put him in the car!" I shouted, felt my heart beating against my chest.

Luca and another man picked unconscious Baek kyung from the sofa and rush to outside.

I immediately looked towards the table trying to find the cause behind it and grabbed his fallen box. He had eaten a desert which was in a cup, i pulled it close to my nose and sniffed it.

My eyes widened, lowering the cup, i grabbed the spoon and took a bite of it.

Food-induced anaphylaxis.

"What is going on? What happened to him?"

"What happened to Baek kyung?"

"Is he going to be fine?"

I heard several questions thrown my way but my mind was somewhere else.

"Doctor Eun Aee, director is saying you should go with Baek kyung. The new doctor will take of things here." I looked up to see Baek kyung's Manager, who had a pained expression on his face..

"He is going to be fine. Relax and try focusing on your performance. I will keep you updated." I said, turning towards anxious Seo-joon and Tae-ri the rest looked shocked and worried.

I hold the cup in my hand and picking my phone, i ran outside. I ran all the way down the building to the car where they were waiting for me. We reached the hospital and the doctors got hold of Baek kyung and took him to ICU.

I sat outside along with Luca and Baek kyung's Manager. Luca was pacing the floor with a worried expression, while his manager had his head in his hands.

"Listen to me." I told them monotonously.

I was burning with anger.

"Luca, call the food head and tell him make sure not a single helper or cook leaves the place, right now!" He did as i told him without asking.

"Manager, call CEO Bang and tell him to seal the building, the culprit is within the building." I told baek kyung's Manager who was already looking at me. He blinked but did what i asked him to do.

"Hello, yes. We are waiting outside. Listen, hold back all the cooks and helpers behind, don't let anyone leave. Yes, i will get back at you." He said and turned to look at me for explanation.

"Yes, sir." He ended the call and looked at me.

"He ate this. It was peanut butter." I said, uncovering the lid of the cup which i was holding.

They both looked at it and then at each other with wide eyes, realizing the reason behind Baek kyung's state. He was allergic to Peanut butter.

"So you are saying.."

"Yes. Someone tried to kill Baek kyung by this. They confiscated the medical records, so they used it for their purpose." I told him and closed my eyes.

Luca cursed loudly while Manager sighed.

Luca was continuously on the phone, updating the CEO about the situation and letting him know what caused this.

"Okay, sir." He said hanging up and took a seat completely worn out.

"How are they holding up?." I asked him about Sirius members

"Fine. They are professionals, they will handle it." He said, closing his eyes in distress.

I nodded my head and sighed.

We sat like for hours until the door opened and the doctor came. I stood up immediately and walked towards him.

"He is stable. We are lucky to save him, if you hadn't brought him here at time, it wouldn't be possible for us to save him." The doctor told us.

I understood and nodded my head.

"Is he fine?"i asked,

"Yes. But there are some tests we need to perform, he has to be admitted for further follow up." He said.

"Okay." Luca said

The doctor bowed and left. I sat down again and sighed in relief. Luca left with Manager for his admission. I closed my eyes and prayed for him.

"Here." I opened my eyes to find a cup in front of me.

"Coffee and here take this." Luca said, handing me box and put the coffee on the seat next to me.

"Eat it. I was told you haven't had anything since the morning." He said, taking a seat in front of me.

"Thank you." I told him and felt my stomach scream in hunger.

I took out the sandwich from the box and ate in silence.

"They are on their way." Luca told me, throwing his cup in the dustbin.

I nodded my head and gulped down the food. I stood up and threw the things and dusted my hands.

"I am going to restroom." I said and left.

I came back after a while and found quite a crowd in front of the room. I walked slowly towards them. Nam-joo sat on the chair with hardened expression, Tae-ri was expressionless, Joo-ho and Ho oppa were listening to what Luca was saying. Seo-joon and Tae Oppa stood with eachother.

"Hey." I said as i reached them.

They all looked up at me, i analyzed their reactions. They were not upset with me or anything.

No one answered so i let it go.

"Eun Aee, you were right, they found him." Luca said, walking towards me.

"What? Really?" I was bewildered, eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Yes. The head of food department told us that, there was a new helper today who they didnt hired. He knew someone from here and got in. He is the one who prepared Baek kyung's food box." He said

"So did he speak as to why he did this?" I asked him.

"No. He is being investigated." He told me, grinding his teeth.

"But why didn't the cook made food for Baek kyung by himself and let that man make it?" I asked him, frowning.

"You should have checked the boxes so this wouldn't have happened." Seo-joon said, anger clear in his voice.

I looked at him bewildered and shocked.

"Seo-joona!" Namjoon and Tae Oppa called him, they were shocked themselves.

He scoffed and left the room. I looked at his back, walking away. Tae0-ricalled him but he didn't stop and continue to walk.

"Please don't mind him. He is tensed about Baek kyung as you know they are best friends, just saying stupid things." Nam-joo said, walking towards me with a concern look.

I nodded my head in understanding.

Tae Oppa stood up to go after him but i grabbed his hand.

"It's okay. No need to go, i will go." I told him. I wasn't hurt to what he said, i understood him.

I have listened to many hurtful things from patients family before but i knew they said it because they were suffering. They needed to let their anger out on someone. So i took it all and smiled and consoled them.

They nodded their heads and i sighed, looking to where, he went. I walked down the same path and found him walking outside. I followed him quietly, i put my hands in my pockets as it was cold outside. He came to a stop near a bench and sat down on it with his head low. I slowly walked towards him and sat down next to him.

"He will be fine." I told him after a while of silence.

He didn't answered and kept quiet. We sat there without saying anything. I wasn't wearing clothes which would protect me from this harsh cold so i stood up to leave. But he hold my cold hand and stopped me. I turned back to look at him and found his red eyes due to crying. I felt my heart break at the sight.

"Don't leave. Please." His soft plea made it to my ears.

I nodded my head and sat beside him and put one arm over his back and patted him. To give some kind of comfort to him. Baek kyung was the closest person to Seo-joon and he meant a lot to him. I could see him suffer.

"I am sorry." He said, looking at me, after he wiped his face.

"It's okay." I shoke my head and sighed.

"I am really sorry." He said once again.

"Seo-joon, it's okay. I didn't mind it." I said, grabbing him cold hands in mine.

I rubbed my hands against his to warm up his cold hands.

He nodded his head and looked away.

I felt my phone ring, releasing his hand i pulled out my phone, looking at the caller id, Luca.

"Yes?" I asked, Seo-joon squeezed my other hand which was in his hand.

"Okay. We are coming." I told him and looked at Seo-joon.

"Relax. Luca said CEO Bang is here. We need to come." I told him.

He released a breath which he was holding.

"You don't believe my words?" I asked him as we stood up

"What?" His forehead creased as he looked at me.

"I told you he is fine but you still don't believe me. You told me that you trust me. Are you sure about that?" I know it was low of me to say thing but he needed to listen to me to get relax otherwise he will get ill.

"Eun Aee. It's not like that. I do believe you, I just can't let go of the image of Baek kyung gasping for air in front of my eyes." He said, looking at me completely torn.

"I know. It's okay. It will be fine." I pulled him into a hug to comfort him. He hugged back tightly and put his head on my shoulder.

We stood like this for a while. I patted his back to soothe him. He moved back and hide his face from me by looking away.

"Sorry. I just got emotional." He said, embarrassed

"Hey, listen. You don't need to be embarrassed. You have every right to be emotional, he is your brother. And you don't need to hide your emotions being a man. I will never judge you." I told him and hold his hands making him look at me.

He looked at me and hugged me again.

"I am blessed to have you." He said, kissing my cheek and hold my hand as he dragged me along with me inside.

I smiled at him and kept walking beside him.
