“We're here to talk to you because we don’t understand what’s going on with you anymore, Alpha,” one of the elders began, his voice firm but laced with frustration. “You’re our leader, yet you’ve been neglecting your duties. Most times, we have to go through your beta just to reach you, and that process is slow. What’s happening?”
I frowned as I realized what was unfolding before me. The elders had united against me, and I wasn’t prepared for this confrontation. Rising from my seat, I turned to leave, but the elders weren't having it.
“If you walk out of here, just know you’re giving us no other option,” the senior elder warned, his tone hard. “You might not want to hear this, but I’m going to speak my mind.”
