Otsana
I was sitting in the hospital room, lost in thought, when a sudden knock on the door snapped me back to reality. Expecting the doctor, I turned towards the door, but when I saw who it was, my mouth fell open in shock. It was Paul. Of all people, I never expected him to show up here.
Why was he here? What did he want? A flood of questions raced through my mind, and I could only stare at him in silence, too ashamed to speak. I had been a terrible friend, and I knew it. Seeing him now only reminded me of that.
Paul walked towards me slowly, each step measured and deliberate. When he reached my side, he stood close, his presence both comforting and unnerving at the same time.
