3. We Meet Again.

Georgia I had returned from work when Patty finally dragged herself home the next day. Minus her underwear but grinning like a Cheshire cat. “Geo, I’m in love.” She is practically purring. “Josh is prefect, I had the best night.” “So you are seeing him again?” This is not normal Patty behaviour, yes she is a bit of a romantic but guys usually do something to put her off pretty sharp. Second dates are not a guarantee with her. She nodded. “We are going out tonight.” She looked a little sheepish. “Wasting no time I see, where is he taking you?” “Well about that, he invited us back to the club tonight, they have friends flying in from America and wanted some authentic English roses to meet them…please please please. I’ll make you maid of honour when we get married.” “Damn you have it bad.” I could have bailed on her. I’m not a party animal but I didn’t have anything to do anyway and maybe I needed to meet this guy. “Okay, I’ll come but you owe me.” “I love you, you know that yeah.” She winked and ran to the shower. Like deja but she did my hair and makeup and we argued about the length of my dress before heading out. Patty had gone all out tonight, her tight white dress hugged all her curves and showed of her long tanned legs, without her a** being on display. I chuckled to myself, Josh had no chance. She marched up the the top of the queue, that was even bigger than last night. I tried to hide behind her, sure we would be knocked back. When she gave her name the bouncer smiled warmly and ushered us in. “Patty, what about your dear brothers.” Seb and Max stood a bit further down the queue. She batted her eyes and the bouncer rolled his but motioned for them to come with us. We were sat at the bar, without Marissa Max was actually okay. Seb was always great but being a bit older we rarely saw him. Patty was scanning the room for Josh. I ordered some shots to settle her nerves. Seb wouldn’t let me pay for them when the tab came. Patty’s family knew I wasn’t rich like them, but unlike the rest of our peers they never belittled me for it. I had him laughing when I told him the latest saga regarding my mother. “So let me get this straight, she is marrying some guy you have never met, on a beach and you are her bridesmaid.” “Pretty much, and she seems so delighted with herself I am having to drown my sorrows as we all know how it will end.” I raised a glass. “To sorrows.” He said c******g with me. “He is here!” Patty almost fell of her seat in excitement as she ran across the room and fling herself at Josh. Kissing passionately he clearly didn’t mind the public display of affection. I could hear the grumbles from her brothers as they ordered more drinks. “We are going to have to get wasted to put up with this.” Max said, jerking his head in the direction of Patty. “Aww Maxy boy, the narcissistic Marissa not gracing is with her presence tonight?” “Nope, some fancy American model is doing a showing for her new underwear range and they have bagged themselves a private showing.” This was alien to me and I must have looked confused so Seb explained. “They get to see the clothes first and pay double to have them before anyone else.” “Seriously? People do that? I asked, knowing it would be true. It never failed to surprise me how people with money could waste it in so many different times ways. “I mean it’s underwear, who even sees it.” “Well I might get a show tonight.” Max winked and Seb and I both boaked, catching each other’s eyes and laughing. Patty appeared back grabbing my hand to come and meet his friends. After many shots and far to many introductions for me to remember I was sandwiched between two good looking and clearly rich Americans. They were starting to annoy me. The blonde one kept trying to run his hand up my leg, despite how far away I kept edging and the other kept asking me to repeat things in my funny accent as he so put it. Patty and Josh were making out in the booth. Hands all over each other, it was half tempting to tell them to get a room. When I felt a hand between my thighs for the umpteenth time I jumped up. Grabbing Patty I dragged her to the bar. “We need shots, if I have to put up with his sleazy friends I need to be drunk.” She happily obliged. Shooting us up, after two shots Josh appeared and dragged her of the the dance floor. “Give me something strong, this is a night I don’t need to remember.” I told the bartender. He poured something into a the glass, I swigged it and felt it burn. Yup this would do. I could see there was maybe half a bottle left . “On second thoughts leave the bottle.” I was tempted to swig straight from the bottle but I already had a bad enough so reputation I probably shouldn’t fuel it. “Well well well, fancy seeing you again Geo.” I heard the voice from last night. Damn why couldn’t I remember his name. “Hey.” I replied. I saw his eyes flit to my bottle and I shrugged. He poured himself drink. “Drowning our sorrows this evening?” I c****d my head, deciding how to answer. Did I want to reveal the state of my life to a very handsome stranger. “Something like that.” “Something like that or definitely that.” “Something like that.” I smirked. Pleased at the annoyed frown on his face that I wasn’t pouring my heart out. Just them my phone beeped. I looked down and saw it was Mum sending a photo. I didn’t even read the message I just huffed . “An ex ?” He asked. “What ? No, my bloody mother. She has just got engaged to a man I’ve never met and now I’m meant to be super expected to be bridesmaid.” I scoffed. “Parents eh?” He took a swig for my booze straight from the bottle. I must have been pretty drunk by now as I grabbed it back of him and swigged from it myself. Decorum out the window. He pulled me to my feet and I nearly dropped the bottle in surprise. With lightning reflexes he caught it and after another slow swig he held up above my head out of my reach. “I think you have had enough, let’s dance.” Grabbing my hand he pulled me towards the dance floor. Clearly I was hammered as I struggled to get my legs to obey my commands. He saw I was struggling so pulled me into his arms. Swaying to the music, I would be lying if I said I was unhappy about the situation. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and I was aware of Seb speaking. I felt the handsome stranger stiffen and I was aware of the tension. “It’s okay Seb, I’m fine.” I told him. Now I was moving I felt a bit more sober. I practically dragged them back to the bar and ordered three shots. I took mine handed the guys his and looked over to Seb. He shook his head and walked away. So I decided to do his as well. The guy tried to stop me so I had to lean back, only not toppling over because his strong arms enclosed my waist.
