I was furious and hurt as I watched him leave. Rubbing my little boys head I directed him to my bedroom. I found a box with throw blankets. Satisfied I made us a comfortable area to lay on the bed. He clutched me tightly as we got settled.
"Why was dad being so mean?"
I sighed heavily. "Your Uncle Roger said something that hurt your daddys feelings. He hasn't forgiven him."
He stayed quite for a moment. "Daddy shouldn't have been mean to you." Tears welled in my eyes. No, he shouldn't have.
"Are we going to Uncle Tyler or Granny and Grandpa's?" I didn't want to tell them. It wouldn't end well.
"Probably not. We are going to take a nap and order some food for later okay?"
"Okay, love you mommy".
"I love you too my sweet boy." He hugged my front tightly as he fell asleep.
