Ian couldn’t sleep. The rejection stung him deeper than he thought it would. Why did she pull away so suddenly? He was entirely sure that was the right thing to do at the moment. The Alpha felt hazy, almost drawn to her. It was very unlike him to pin for someone like that.
Thinking about it made him cringe. He should check upon the omega and apologise. Maybe he got the wrong signals from her. Whatever he should not have tried to kiss her when she had no interest in him.
