“Stay where?” Ian asked stupidly.
The Alpha understood her the first time, but he didn’t want to accept that. Instead, the reality of staying closer to her for a long time was threatening to both of them. That’s something he doesn’t want to risk. He had enough things to worry about.
Railyn rolled her eyes. “I mean, I want to stay in this hotel.”
Ian crossed his arms against his chest, his stance rigid. He should have known that she’s unpredictable and would do something to make him go into a cardiac arrest. Railyn demanding to stay in the hotel was never on top of his list though. Shouldn’t she want to leave? That’s what she argued about ever since his men got her. What changed?
“Pray tell what is the reason you want to stay?” Ian asked after a beat.
His breath caught in his throat.
