"You killed my parents!" Maisie Davids shouts at her uncle. He slaps her through her face. She flies to the ground but gets up fast. She just found out that her uncle planned the "rouge" attack on her mother and father.

"Go back to your duties you!" He shouts at her, and Maisie walks out. Deep in her heart, she knows that one day she will get her revenge! If it is the last thing, she does.

Maisie, Stewart and Rufus are three young orphans. Maisie's father was the Alpha. Her father and mother were killed in a "rogues attack". Her uncle took over the pack. Steward's was the beta's son. Maisie's uncle killed his mother and father. And Rufus' was the son of the Pack doctor. His parents died in the same attack as Maisie's mother and father. The rest of the pack mistreated them, and they were sent to do all the dirty work for the pack.

"Steward, stop playing around. We need to get this garden done before we get a beating again," Maisie says. They are 17 years old.

"I found a treasure, Maisie," Stewart says. Maisie walks over and sees the chest in Stewart's hand. Inside are golden cions and a map.

"Hide it! Before anyone else sees," Maisie says.

"You think the map leads to a bigger treasure?" Rufus asks.

"We will find out. Tonight, it is time for us to run away and go on our adventure!" Maisie, the brain of the three, says. She wants revenge on her uncle and the other betrayers in the pack! She will bring death to them when she comes back, but they need to find this treasure first.

Prologue
1872: Arcadius is busy cleaning. He is sick and tired of everyone making fun of him. He wishes he was as powerful as the other warlocks and respected him like they respect everyone else. So his magic does not work as it should. Most of his spells turn out wrong, and he has difficulty learning. The other warlocks make fun of him, and he hates it! Arcadius is a weakling. He can not stand up for himself. He is very acceptable for the darkness and dark powers. Arcadius is an easy target for bullies. He gives in quickly and is always fearful. He gets locked up in an old basement, and that is where he sleeps. Today he is cleaning the Grand Magus's office. He is tired as he only had about four hours of sleep. They made him clean the kitchen last night, and he only got to bed at around three. The Grand Magus called him to come and clean his office at seven. All the other warlocks of his coven are going to the grand Council today. He never gets invited to these events. Arcadius is still cleaning the office when he hears someone calls his name. The voice is coming from the old bookcase no one uses anymore. Arcadius moves to the bookcase. He is suspicious. Did someone stay behind to play a trick on him? He walks closer and hears his name called again. As he moves closer to the old bookcase, he sees a book that is out of place. He pulls on the book to move it to its rightful place. His bookcase swings open, and a staircase leads to the bottom of what looks like an ancient tomb. Arcadius is scared, but something strong is calling him, and he can not withstand the call. He is too weak. As he enters the basement, a voice speaks to him. "I was the pure soul who sacrificed myself to give birth to the Book of the Dead. I had to keep myself pure to give birth to this Book. If it called your name and you are here. You are the Necromancer. You will have control of the dead and become the most powerful being on earth. Use this power at your own will as you are the Necromancer." Arcadius walks to the old skeleton holding a book in his hands. A sword went through the Book and where the old skeleton's heart should have been. Arcadius pulls out the sword from the Book. As he opens the Book, a strong wind blows around him, and the Book in his hands goes into him. It is taking control of Arcadius. Arcadius feels the power. He is strong. He is stronger than any other warlock! He knows things he never knew before, and he has control over life and death. He looks at the sword. It is useless. It has no power. He leaves the sword where it is and goes upstairs. He closes the old bookrack behind him. "I am Arcadius the Necromancer! No one can defeat me. I will rule the world. I have the power over life and death." So he says, and even his voice has changed. It sounds mighty. He can not wait for the other warlocks to return. Today he will have his revenge on the old Grand Magus, and those who do not want to follow him will die with the Magus. As the Grand Magus and the other warlocks return, they sense powerful magic. Something they had never felt before. Arcadius comes walking out to them. He has changed. He is not so skinny anymore, and he feels powerful. "I am the Necromancer! You will obey me or pay the consequences!" Arcadius says in a mighty voice. The Grand Magus starts laughing. "You are what? I think poor old Arcadius finally lost his mind!" The Grand Magus says, and some of the others laugh with him. "I am the Necromancer, old man. I have power over life and death. I would be careful if I were you! You do not know who you are laughing at!" Arcadius says. He loses control as the Grand Magus laughs at him again and sends a lightning bolt at the Grand Magus. The lighting hits the Grand Magus in the heart. The Grand Magus dies instantly. The other warlocks try to block Arcadius' attack, and some even try to attack him. Their attacks do not even reach Arcadius, and he kills most of them with one lightning bolt. He raises his hands and brings all of them back to life. Their eyes are glowing red, and they obey his orders as he starts ordering them around. His army of the undead has begun. His army kills the rest of the warlocks of the Black Raven coven. As his army kills the other warlocks, he raises them, becoming part of his army. He is still not used to the power of the Book inside him. He can draw magic from the air, from fire, the earth, and water. So he recharges himself by drawing power from the earth and air. Tomorrow he and his army will move out and destroy all the villages around the coven. Now he wants to rest and eat. So he orders his army to make him a feast. He needs to celebrate tonight. He is the most powerful warlock in history, and no one can defeat him. The following day he moves out with his army. He is well-rested. For weeks he terrorizes the villages and other covens around him. His army is growing daily, and soon he is known as Arcadius the Necromancer. Some call his Arcadius the death bringer, and others call him Arcadius the Undead. All fear him, and he loves every moment of it. Finally, he reaches a wizard's coven and starts attacking. The wizards try to talk to him and make a deal with him, but he laughs. He is the mighty one. They are all just a bunch of nobodies that would love to kill him but do not have the power to do so. He wipes out the whole wizards' coven. In the bushes, a young wizard is hiding, watching his whole thing. "I am Arcadius, the Necromancer, from the Black Raven coven. You are all my slaves, and the whole world will become my slaves! I have power over life and death!" He raises his hands, and all the wizards return to life. Their eyes are shining red. Authur, the young man in the bushes, decides there is only one thing he can do; he needs to go to the Black Raven's coven and look for something to kill this Arcadius. He knows there needs to be something or someone at the Black Raven's coven to help him. He knows that Arcadius is on his way to the Council of magic. If Arcadius reaches them, he will destroy them, which will end the magical world. It takes Authur a day on foot to reach the Black Raven's coven. As he enters the coven, he sees it is abandoned. Arcadius must have killed his coven as well. He hears someone whispers his name. He follows the voice to an office. The voice is coming from behind an old bookcase. As he walks closer, he sees a book that is not in place. As Arcadius, he pulls on the Book to place it in its place. The bookcase swings open. He walks down the stairs to the bottom and sees an old tomb. "I am the pure soul who created the Book of the Dead. The Book is gone. If something whispered your name, pick up the sword. You are the Champion, the one and only one that can kill the Necromancer. He must have gotten out of hand. The sword called you as it is the only weapon pure enough to kill the Necromancer. Take the sword, Champion, and safe the world." Authur follows the path of destruction. He knows where the Necromancer is heading, and he knows he needs to stop him before he gets the ultimate army. Ones Arcadius has the Council of Magic in his power. There is nothing that can stop him from taking over the world. Authur finds a horse along the way. This will go faster. He names his horse Nightmare as the horse is pitch black. He soon catches up with Arcadius and his army of the dead. He watches Arcadius from a distance. He needs a plan. He can not fight the whole army by himself. He goes around the army of the undead. The Council of Magic is well aware that the Necromancer and his undead army are on their way. They are all trembling with fear. The doors to the Council of Magic open, and they all wait for their death as they think that Arcadius has reached them at last. To their surprise, a young man with a sword walks in. "Who are you?" The head of the Council asks. "I am Authur, I am the Champion, and I can kill the Necromancer, but I will need your help," Authur says. The Council looks at him with hope in their eyes. They look at the sword in his hands, and they can feel the power of the sword. "We swore allegiance to you, Champion. We will fight by your side, and if we die, so be it!" The head of the Council says. He calls all witches, dark and white, warlocks and wizards, to come and help to fight the war against the biggest evil that ever walked this earth. For the first time in history, all creature, good and bad, comes together to fight this evil called the Necromancer. Arcadius reaches the Council. At last, he laughs as he sees all the creatures gathered together to fight him and his undead army. In front of them, all is a young man on a black horse. He is holding a sword. Arcadius laughs. There is nothing in this world that can kill him and not a young man on a horse. The war breaks out the creatures are fighting the army of the dead. They make a path for Authur to reach the Arcadius. Authur draws his power from the sword, and as Arcadius sends lighting bolts to him, he sends them right back. His sword blocks most of the lightning bolts. He jumps off his horse as he reaches Arcadius. As he jumps off, Arcadius hits his hand that holds the sword with a lightning bolt. The sword falls from his hand. He is hit again and falls to the ground. The lightning bolts are not enough to kill him as the sword enhances his powers. Arcadius draws power from every source he can, and an extensive lighting bolt is formed in his hand as he stands over Authur. Authur knows he is going to die. He reaches for his sword. The next moment, his sword flies into his hands as if a magnet drew it. Just as Arcadius is about to hit him with the powerful bolt of lighting,  Authur pushes the sword up and into the heart of Arcadius. Arcadius looks at the sword in shock as he feels the power leaving him. He turns into dust, and the Book of the Dead falls to the ground. The undead army all turns to dust as Arcadius dies and becomes the Book of the Dead. The Council and Authur take the Book to the old tomb. They will seal the ancient tomb with a magic spell so no one can open the Book of the Dead again and bring Arcadius back that is not pure of soul. As sacrificing a pure soul created the Book of the Dead, none of them can sacrifice themselves to destroy the Book of the Dead. All of them have killed in the war. They need to leave a map to the Book of the Dead and many coins in a box they hid in a hole in the ground. They also leave a map to the sword as they separate the two. They hope that a pure soul will find the maps and get the sword and the Book of the Dead and sacrifice him or herself to destroy the Book of the Dead one day.
