Chapter 125: The Confession

1856 Words
Mandy’s POV I knew that seeing Gale was going to be bad, but I didn't realize how disgusting the woman could be. She hasn't found a mate, and no one wants to date her because she used to mess with Colt, flaunting his scent like a trophy. She also dug a grave for herself when she started walking around declaring herself the future luna. That was up until Jessica stole that right from her. I honestly thought she had given up, but clearly, she still wants to fight for Colt and the title. Sadly, she has no idea that my cousin would readily give it up to her, and to be honest I'm curious about how their interaction will go. As long as Gale doesn't touch B, she will be fine, but if she passes her place, I will have to show her that I don't like to fight, but it doesn't mean I can't. Unfortunately, Gale jumped straight to s****l based provocations and as a fated woman who has experienced that burn, I was left hurt for B, but my cousin didn't even miss a beat. She answered the question literally and I could've died from the force of the laughter I was suppressing. However, my self-control doesn't last long. “Listen miss, whatever tastes or smells you and Colton have going on between your legs is none of my concern. If the odor makes you self-conscious, then I encourage you to seek medical advice from a physician; I do not want to play doctor for either of you.” I can’t help but to lose it at that point, and despite the glare from our alpha, Trey and I can’t stop laughing. I wish Carter were here to witness this because he isn’t going to believe me when I tell him. My mate wouldn’t know, but B is sexually dense, which is charming in some ways, and hilarious in others. She used to tell me that guys on the sports teams of her university would always come to her asking her to inspect their body parts for signs of ‘trouble.’ I just think they wanted to show her their d*cks, but as my cousin once said; coming to a woman and saying, 'hey do you think I have an STD?' is not an effective way to land her in bed. That means, those men were genuinely asking, and it was likely because they confused science and medicine as the same subject. I’m so glad that I was more interested in numbers than anything mildly related to the medical field, because I wouldn’t have been able to stomach it. With that said, B must have mistaken Gale’s clear provocation as the woman’s inquiry into Colt’s s****l health, and because she truly has no desire to be with the man, the little stunt ended up smacking Gale right back in the face. “B," I say while wiping away tears. "She was trying to say that Colt tastes like her; she wanted to make you jealous.” I can barely speak because I’m laughing too hard, and what's making the situation even funnier are the red faces of the people involved. “Oh… but... doesn’t he shower?” I laugh even harder, and B is clearly embarrassed by the situation. Poor Colt looks mortified by his mate's nonchalance, but Gale is definitely angry. “Why are you laughing? Is it normal for men to taste like women they’ve slept with? Mandy? Trey? Colton?” B is desperately looking for someone to explain ‘what's funny’ to her, and after a while, even her mate has to chuckle at his own expense. “Babe, please ignore her. I’m sorry you even had to hear that, but just know that I don’t taste like anyone.” Colton’s POV Hearing my mate say that I taste like ass and balls was a blow to my pride that I wasn’t expecting. Orlin's quite literally whimpering like a puppy in my mind, and I can see that he had buried his snout under his paws in shame. He is absolutely hurt by our mate’s words, but after a while, we realize that she is just as embarrassed as we are. Rhea had no idea what Gale was talking about, so she answered the question literally and based on the way she is expectantly looking around for an explanation, she didn’t mean for her words to come off as an insult. Ignoring my wounded pride, I step forward, intending to put my ego aside to reassure her of a truth that few people know. “Babe, please ignore her. I’m sorry you even had to hear that, but just know that I don’t taste like anyone.” Gale is just one of four women within this pack I have had s*x with, not including Jessica, and since Rhea doesn’t experience the jealousy of the mate bond, I might as well confess everything without hurting her or her wolf. “Besides the fact that I use condoms; I’ve been abstinent since Carly was born.” The laughter from Trey and Mandy completely stops with my confession, but Gale let's her disbelief be known. Orlin is completely baffled by why I just offered up that information, especially since he would prefer it if our mate didn’t know how many women we have been with. As for me, I think she deserves to know, that way she isn’t caught off guard in the future. “Bullsh*t Colt, you and I have been together since then.” “We tried,” I correct. “We tried, but it didn't work so I kicked you out.” Gale narrows her eyes at me, but I know she is just realizing that nothing happened between her and I the night she is referring to. Back then, I was so depressed about possibly being mated to Jessica that I called for many women to try to arouse me, but no one could, and out of embarrassment, I stopped trying because it was beginning to ruin my reputation. Wanting to be an ass, I remind Gale that she tried everything before I finally got bored and asked her to leave, but it's my mate who's offended by my words. “Colton, you don’t need to tell us this information. It’s private, and I’m not sure your ‘friend’ likes the way you are speaking about her.” I reach forward and take Rhea’s hand, causing her to glance at Gale in a sorrowful manner, but Gale’s emotions aren’t her concern. In fact, none of the women I have ever been with should mean anything to her the way they meant and mean nothing to me. “Rhea, babe, I’m telling you this because I want to. She is the second woman to disrespect our bond, and I can't confidently say that others won't try." I order Gale to leave, and she winks at me before looking at my mate again. "Don't get too comfortable, little girl. He'll get tired of you soon." I release Rhea’s hand and issue a command to Gale, but all my mate does is shrug and walk away. I don't know how to feel about the situation because I know that if I were in her shoes Gale would have been dead, and once again, I'm confronted by the fact that my mate isn't a fighter. “She doesn’t need to be strong; she has us.” Rhea's POV I really feel sorry for the women in Colton's life because they seem to have really liked him while I don’t feel anything toward him at all. Granted, it is his fault I’m unable to feel the bond, and to be honest, I’m extremely thankful for that. It’s not the first time that I have benefited from my lost sense of smell, and while the pros don’t outweigh the cons, I’m a glass half full kind of girl. Trey and Mandy are extremely quiet as we are walking and the drawn out look on their faces lets me know that they are mind-linking. I glance up at Colton who also seems deep in conversation, and I become annoyed by what they are doing. I walk ahead of the group, and they don’t even notice until we get to the Packhouse. I head straight to my room where I rinse off, change my clothing, and start preparing dinner for myself. Colton didn’t follow me, which is relieving, and I truly hope that he has gone to be with his girlfriend. I don’t want to fight anyone, but if I have to, I will. Just like with Ashley, I wouldn’t be fighting over a man, I will be fighting for myself. Colton’s POV I can’t tell if my mate is angry or eager to return, so I let her walk ahead of me, and when we got to the Packhouse, I went straight to my office, where Dolton was waiting for me. He hasn’t had s*x with his mate, who also claims to be a virgin, but not because she doesn’t want to. The pack he belongs to holds mating rituals, and as alpha, he would be breaking his own packs laws by taking Miracle to bed before marking her in front of his pack. “What's up?” I say, and Dolton once again looks as though he has been crying. “More dramas?” “The most depressing one yet,” he replies. “I swear it was about a fated couple who tried to fight against the bond.” “Is that why you are here?” I question, but I know my brother wouldn’t waste my time like that. “Miracle’s mother is coming to visit,” he says, and I raise a brow at him. “Here? Why?” “She wants to meet me, and I’m basically begging you not to cause trouble with your mate for the next few days. I feel like Miracle is finally coming around to leaving with me, especially now that her mother has stepped down as alpha.” “Her mother what?” I’m not shocked about a female alpha, but Miracle smells half human, so I’m confused. “Were her parents fated?” “No, they were lovers who eventually got married. There’s a lot of other stuff that happened in between, but long story short, I hear the woman is extremely fond of your mate, and I don’t want your sh*t to fall back on me.” I heard Dolton, but I'm still caught up on Miracle’s mother being an alpha. “How could a pack helper be an alpha?” I question, allowing my disbelief to seep into my tone. “Damn Colt; You really don’t talk to your mate at all, do you?” Orlin whimpers in my mind at the slight rebuke, and I rub my temples to try and rid myself of the guilt I feel. “I’m trying, okay?” “Whatever, but seriously; I need this meeting to go well. Don't ruin this chance for me.”
