Chapter Seven
The night came and Johnnie was still in disbelief. For a moment, he thought that the Mexicans had lied to Brad. The “Los Lobos” were not exactly famous for their honesty and the destruction of their warehouse would certainly serve their agenda. Still, Brad knew them very well; he could tell whether they were being honest with him or not and was not easy to convince. So, Johnnie quickly rejected that notion and tried to focus on his date with Susan. Technically, it was their first date and he wanted to have a good time. Her suggestion had sounded appealing, but riding all the way to New York in December was definitely not a good idea. Johnnie himself had no problem riding alone.
