Everyone escaped from the holding pins of the mysterious Doctor Einstein and his strange dolls. Helena hadn’t finished clearing her lungs from the smoke inhalation when she announced her desire to leave San Francisco. If not for everyone’s refusal to embark on such short notice, she would’ve gone. As it was, she almost went alone to escape her feeling of dread concerning the city and its normal and otherworldly inhabitants.
Hettie was the first to object, declaring she would not run off on a new quest with Helena still coughing from the smoke. She demanded three days’ rest to prepare.
