Shelby's POV
The whole car ride home I ran through so many emotions, all of them actually. Guilt and Want stuck out the most to me. I felt so guilty on so many levels about what was happening, even though I had no control over it. I felt like I was betraying everyone by feeling anything for Daminix. On the other hand, I felt like I was betraying Daminix by not accepting him and putting him through his own heartache. My mind was a jumbled mess, to put it very lightly. Finally, we are home now.
"I just text Liam and he said they have that huge project to work on today so they can't meet with us." Thomas said. " They can meet up with us after school tomorrow. So, why don't we just rest and take it easy for today since we have been through enough with this rough car ride."
