Report 11 – Going to Magic School – Beginning the Report of Examiner Tilia

Some days later, Seya was getting ready to start his new adventure. He was going to School!
“Seya, do you have everything with you?”
“Yes, mother. I already put it in my Compressed Dimension.”
“That sure is a very convenient Magic. You don’t really need to bother about luggage. I wish I could do it.”
“I’m experimenting with my Magical crystals and I believe I will have a prototype for you very soon, mother. I think it will be easier to make than my Gateway Magic.”
“You are still trying to figure out a way how to make anyone create a Gateway?”
“Of course! I hope I can get some new ideas at School.”
“That’s what I don’t understand. You have such great knowledge about Magic, you can use all the Attributes and, because of the books that I always bring you when I go on a trip, you know a lot of subjects. Why do you want to go to that School?”
Seya answered as he was grabbing a slice of bread. “For learning, of course. I am sure there are some things that I still don’t know. I hope to get new ideas and make some new friends. And I also want to see the Magic level of other people. I only know yours, father and the Denar’ans amount of Magic.”
“I think you are going to be disappointed. We can’t be compared with other people’s levels.”
“I figured that as much, but I think it will also be fun!”
“Okay, but maybe, until you get some friends, it’s better if you don’t show how much you can do. Trust me, it’s better if you choose only one or two types of Magic and use them.”
“Humm... you could be right. Okay, I will use Earth and Water Magic. Good for defense and also for attack. And also Wind, I want to make a strong impression!”
“Have you said goodbye to the Denar’ans yet?”
Seya nodded as he answered, “Yes, but brother Null was sad. It seems he was counting on me to go with him next week and get a reputation as an Adventurer.”
“I also thought that you were going to do that. That’s why I was so surprised when I heard that you wanted to go to the Magic School.”
“Brother Null said that an Adventurer could also help people, but I know that it’s a very dangerous job. I prefer learning more and, in the future, help many people instead of some. And I think that if I went with Null, even if I didn’t want to, I would overshadow him. That wouldn’t be good for either of us. But we will keep in touch, of course.”
“I understand. Well, go now then. If you want to come home using the Gateway Magic, make sure no one sees you.”
“Okay, mother. Bye.”
Using his Gateway Magic, Seya went to a corner of the Palace, a location he was all too familiar with from his secret visits to the little Princess every time they met before leaving for another adventure. From there, he walked until he reached a nearby street and took a ride on a carriage.
When he arrived at the School entrance, he couldn’t help feeling excited. He was walking towards the front gate while looking around, not paying any attention to where he was going. That is always a recipe for disaster!
“Well, this is it. Seems like I need to go to the Auditorium, for the new student’s reception, or what it’s called... Where is it?...”
While Seya was walking and looking around, searching and completely distracted, he bumped into a young blonde boy who was talking with some other boys next to him. “Oh, and then... Hey! Watch it!”
“Oops, sorry, I didn’t see you. I am a little lost trying to figure out where the Auditorium is, and I wasn’t looking to where I was going.”
“You insolent! Do you know who I am?”
“Not really.”
“How dare you touch me, the second son of the Viscount Satyl? Who are you?”
“What, you don’t know who I am? Good, then. Bye!”
Saying that Seya ran at high speed, leaving behind an angry boy shouting at him. “Hey! Come here! He ran away!”

Seya finally found the School’s Auditorium. It was a vast space, with many rows of chairs in a semi-curved shape, at different heights. “Here it is, finally! Oh, it started already!”
In the centre, there was a desk and a podium where the School’s Principal was already speaking. “… and for the following three years, we all expect great development from you! Now, go check your dorm allocations and get comfortable for today. Tomorrow you start in the morning with the writing tests and in the afternoon it’s the physical and Magical tests.”
Before Seya could find a spot for him, it had already ended. He was still at one of the entrances and the students were already getting out! He put his back against a wall near the entrance and was looking around for directions while talking to himself, not noticing that there was a girl with green hair looking at him while smiling.
“Next problem, find the list with the dorm locations and also the dorm locations. Argh! I need a map!”
Hearing that, the young girl with green hair who had been looking at him since he arrived approached him. “Here, I have another copy of the map. You could get this at the School’s Reception, you know?”
“Thank you very much! I had trouble finding this Auditorium, I didn’t even see the Reception!”
“Ahahahah! It’s on the right side as soon as you enter the Main building, with a big sign saying ‘Reception’!”
“Oops... sorry. Oh, my name is...”
“Sorry, my friends are waiting. See you later!”
“See you. And there she goes... Okay, where is it...”

After some time, he found his bedroom by following the indications on the map. That girl had already made some notes on the map, so it was easy for him to find the place where the dorm locations were posted.
From there, he went to his room. “Finally! Humm... There are two beds, so it’s a room for two people. Seems like I am the first to arrive. I wonder who my roommate is.”
It was a simple room, with only two closets, two desks, two chairs, and two beds. Since he had nothing more to do on that day, he started creating more Magic Crystals. “||... Flow... create marble rock... surround with ball rock.... compress... insert Magic... heat... compress...||... Another Magic Crystal complete! I need to continue practicing this so that one day I can do this as quickly as breathing. I will need a lot of Magic Crystals for experiments and I can’t afford to buy all of them. I have no roommate yet, so I will continue making these Crystals and placing them on my Compressed Dimension. When I get tired, I will go to sleep.”
