Chapter 10
A man waited in the silence of the apartment, keeping his eyes on a slice of moonlight that framed the inside door of Ric’s apartment. All at once Ric and Reny stumbled in while kissing, feeling each other up, and breathing hard. The two of them laughed between kisses.
“Can you believe it?” Ric mumbled. “The Godfather is the talk of the town.”
Reny tried to keep his breathing steady while he spoke, but could hardly get the words out. “Who the hell called the press?”
“I don’t know,” Ric said. “Word just leaked out, I guess. You know how the press is. They’re nosy as hell.”
“A restaurant is big news?”
