Taste my Pain
Chapter 3
She stormed away from the guild without needing to look over her shoulder to see who had cared about her leaving this horrible place that was filled with nothing but selfishness and pride. Her blood boiling, she wanted to take revenge and get stronger. To prove to them entirely that she wasn't weak like what they've called her to be.
If she were to be able to fulfil her promise and become powerful, then she'll be able to make Natsu, and everyone that had bullied her, regret what they've done and said about her.
As she madly stomped her way to her apartment, she suddenly bumped into someone which made her shuffle back a few steps. "Hey, watch where you're going!" the person that she had bumped into scowled angrily. Without looking up to see who she had bumped into, she apologized to them in a monotone, "Sorry, I'm kind of in a bad mood right now."
She was yanked by the man who she assumingly bumped into and quickly looked up to see a very familiar face from the past. "Oh, I bumped into a fairy. What a great thing to fascinate my boredom," he snicked before Lucy slapped his hand away from her in annoyance. “Don’t you dare touch me,” she flatly scowled.
To meet someone who she'd never want to face alone at a time crisis like this. Trying to turn and walk away, he yanked her back again. "Look fairy, I'm still here if you're not too stupid to notice," he mocked. "Watch it!" she snarled before pushing him away yet again.
The man grinned in entertainment. "Spicy lil' fairy, aren't you?" he chuckled. "Look, Sting, I'm not in the mood right now, so if you could just walk awa-" She heard him say something which made her blood boil and sees red. "Lucy Kick!" she challenged as she kicked the male Sabertooth mage in the stomach.
This was no mere kick. It was the infamous Lucy Kick. A lethal attack which made all the Dragon Slayers from Fairy Tail scared.
Standing there with a patience of a thin strand of thread, she snarled at his ignorance towards her emotions and pride. "Don't you ever call me weak. You're not in a position to judge my strength or my capabilities!" she spat before storming off, not wanting to see Sting who was shocked at her sudden outburst.
"Jeez, what's her problem?" he grumbled as he got up and stuffed his hands into his pockets. He walked the other way while still complaining. Lucy, however, didn't know what was coming her way as she walked down the streets to her little home.
Our anonymous individual was travelling to Fiore and was a rough day away from the city where the well-known "Fairy Tail" was located in. Somehow, they were sent by the royal family to go search for the missing princess, but the problem was what they meant when they said, "You'll find her once you step foot in that city."
They shrugged off the information that given to them and looked out of the window which displayed the rapidly moving scenery beside them which they could easily distinguish what they were passing. As much as that phrase didn’t help them, they believe that they’ll complete the job without much of a problem.
Oh well, they'll just do anything they can to find the missing princess of theirs even if it meant tracking her by personal information and research.
While their trip continued by sitting on the train, a sweet scent appeared. The scent luring and hinting this mysterious traveller to where its owner was, they narrowed their eyes. The sweet aroma was attracting the anon's attention as they grew closer and closer to Magnolia.
The anonymous person tensed their body and rested their chin on their palm and began to think as they slowly closed their eyes.
This scent was something that they've expected from the princess that they had yet to personally meet. It was completely sweet and pure, untainted as how it should be from someone with a royal background and blood pulsing within them.
Smiling to themselves, they hoped that the little princess wasn't wandering too far from their reach or else she'll be grave danger. The princess needed protection, and anon was there just to do that, for that was their job.
Back over to Lucy, it was a great life until all this nonsense came crashing onto her like a wrecking ball. Like, how was she considered as weak when she could use Urano Metria?!
It was unbelievable that her own teammates would turn against her, but something seemed fishy. And when she meant fishy, it wasn't because of Happy. The poor cat needs to shut his mouth sometimes when it came to them shopping together in the past.
But something was being hidden behind her back, and she didn't know what it was. It was like it was calling out to her, and it wasn't getting off her back until she had done something about it.
Sighing, the blonde walked over to her apartment and told the landlord that she'll be leaving the apartment very soon. As much as she disliked the landlady, the woman and her husband refused to let her leave their property. Over time, it seemed like they've come to accept her lifestyle and have been treating her like somewhat of a daughter. But today, it was seriously the time to say goodbye after their little threats of kicking her out in the past for not making the p*****t on time.
"I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon, and I'll pay my rent fees tomorrow as well. Thank you for looking after me for all these years," Lucy thanked as she politely bowed her head. "Come back here if you're looking for a place. We'll have some arrangements," the landlady said.
Nodding her head, she walked up to the staircases and entered her apartment. Her home. To what the landlady had told her, she knew that she won’t be ever reaching out to her since she didn’t want to stay at a place that would be obvious for the others to find if she ever returned.
She quietly packed up all her belongings with the help of her spirit, Virgo, and asked her to store all of her unneeded things in the Spirit World until she needed them. When everything was done, she sat on her empty desk and looked around her vacant room and sighed.
The chatter from the city faintly being heard within her empty apartment, she pulled out a pen and paper from the little storage compartment under the desk and began to write.
Dear Fairy Tail,
Something seemed fishy since I've been kicked out of Team Natsu. You all treated me like some criminal – Throwing magic at me when you think I wasn't looking, and everything that I've attempted was futile, thanks to you all without any reasons.
I feel utterly disgusted to join the guild. You all turned my happiness of joining the guild into something of a disappointment. To think that Fairy Tail was my dream – To dream about joining a famous guild that was known for their kind reputation and treating their friends well. Well, thanks to you guys; that dream was accomplished but shattered soon after.
I once believed that I was suited for this fate - To join Fairy Tail - To meet the famous Mirajane and Erza of Fairy Tail! To find out that Fairy Tail's not as it appears to be is... urgh. Frustrating.
I seemed to have learned a few new things that occurred behind the doors of Fairy Tail. To think that everyone began treating me like trash after someone started out a rumour which was obviously lies and easy to ignore. Thought you all knew me but apparently not.
Somehow... You all looked at me like some replacement for Lisanna. It seems like you guys have been faking everything. From those smiles, embraces of celebrations, to the final last breath of our battles as we watch them fall before giving out a sigh of relief - They were all lies, and I can't believe that I've fallen for them.
Fairy Tail was my home. My family. An escape from reality where I face my struggles of being a well-known Heartfilia... But that thought and belief changed, as from now on, Fairy Tail shall not be a home or a haven for me... This time, it's war.
I declare that Fairy Tail is now my enemy, my rival.
Yours... Nah. From your rival,
Lucy Heartfilia.
Placing down her pen, she folded up the letter and sealed it using a spell that she had read from a book long ago. With this spell, this letter within her hands will only be opened by Mirajane, and only by Mirajane.
Thinking about all the possibilities, she leaned back into her chair and glanced over to the top corner of her desk where a small stack of letters was sitting there neatly. Sighing where her sigh echoed through to the empty room, she fiddled with the letter in her hand for a bit more before she reached out and placed it into the stack.
Those letters resting in the stack had the same spell as the letter that she had just placed down. Each receiver had to open it up for themselves; Fire for Natsu, ice for Gray, Erza with her blades... The list goes on.
Getting up from her spot to stretch, she'll soon be sending out the letters by allowing Virgo to go in her place. She really didn't want to tell the spirit to go out on an errand, but Virgo insisted so with a "Punishment princess?" So, before the spirit could go out then, she added the final touch, a Time spell where it'll only nullify when they all notice how long she's been gone for.
Now she wondered how long it'll take...
