Conference calls are some of the most boring parts of my day. I am thinking about asking Joelle to bring me another coffee so I don’t fall asleep when my cell starts ringing, and I see Gavin’s name on it.
“Hey cuz, what-”
“Lucas, Addi was attacked. Rogues tried to take her they clawed her up and poisoned her. She’s unconscious. Halley is bringing her to me now. You want her there or here once we stabilize her?”
The roar leaves my chest before I can stop it. “Here! I’m already on my way.”
I hang up the conference line and start running out linking my mate. I jump in my car and take off not even glancing back.
