Lucas stares at me concerned as I walk into his office with Addi following behind me. Papa comes over and hugs her then grabs Raleigh to make faces at him. Owen throws his hands up making Halley laugh. “I barely got a hello. She gets a hug and Raleigh now has all his attention.”
Papa doesn’t spare him a glance. “Both of them are cuter than you. Sweeter too.”
I bite back my impatience as I pull Addi’s chair out. Joelle joins us too.
Lucas opens the door at the next knock and I walk over to hug my father’s Beta and Owen’s dad. “Hi Uncle Bridger.”
Once all the pleasantries are over, Papa clears his throat.
“Owen tells us you two saw Morgan’s handler.”
“Yes, and I thought it was Dad.”
