There is a saying, that one should never assume they are safe just because a scrumptious meal and gentle smile are the last things their eyes behold before bed. For it is never wise to assume or be complacent in a new surrounding. Since a welcomed guest, can very easily end up the parties delectable dinner.
Unfortunately, I was getting ready to learn this painful lesson first hand.
Before the early rays of sunlight had begun to peek through the clouds, every blanket, pillow, and extraneous material was stripped from my bedframe. Giving my aggressor, a prim press maid with sharp pointy features like a bird, the ability to forcefully yank me out from under my covers and drag me down the hall. Due to my drowsy, delirious, state I could hardly make sense of what was happening.
