{Anya}
"Get a grip of yourself, Anya. You won't die," Rochelle reasoned.
"That's not why she's teary-eyed. She beat up Aria because she had nothing to say but s**t and then she fought with Arin," Ryoko patted my shoulders comfortingly.
"I have to beat Libelle. No matter what," I state.
Rochelle's eyebrows shoot up, "I didn't think you were willing to fight for Arin."
"I'm not but my future depends on it. He promised to bring me back home, to the human world, if I won," I say excitedly. "And Rochelle, I'm bringing you too."
Ryoko smiled, "Whatever makes you two happy. I might join in too."
"Really?" I asked. I thought Ryoko really loved her Kingdom.
"I don't want to go back to the frontlines and fight with those other rogue dragon Kingdoms and the fairy Kingdom," Ryoko frowned. "Too much death."
They settled another set of armor on me and I left for the Arena. Libelle also came out looking anxiously toward me. She had come this far and so did she. She did it for King Vulcan but I've done it for my freedom.
"In this last round, only one victor may arise. You must kill your opponent to win," Dave shuddered and place the microphone down. "Begin!"
But we were frozen in place. Kill the opponent? I look over to the King Vulcan was sitting but he avoided my eye. He did this. He arranged this because he knew I would never kill Libelle with her child. He...lied to me. He knew that I would forfeit than have to kill Libelle and her baby.
I pointed an accusing finger at him, "You-You promised..."
But he couldn't hear me so all he did was avoid any direct eye-contact with me. I felt the air around me heat up. I couldn't control my rage as I wanted to kill Libelle to prove King Vulcan wrong. I wanted to...to slay her.
I enflamed myself and purposely lost control so that the flames would overwhelm Libelle. The heat was extreme but I could take it. Libelle shot out metal towers that surrounded me like a cage. But the flames deteriorated the towers. They fell like metal pools at my feet and I hit Libelle with a fireball. She yelped and fell to the ground in pain from the burn on her wrist.
I hated being lied at. It infuriated me but it hurt me to know that King Vulcan was capable of making my life miserable. I felt myself going into a frenzy and losing my self-control. It set Libelle in flames. Her horrifying screams were sure to be heard by the audience even though they couldn't see past the flames. Her hand was protectively wrapped around her stomach but I increased the intensity of the flames.
I screamed in agony and anger as the flames began to envelop me. I was losing control rapidly. I stared Libelle down who built a metal cage around her.
"Y-your eyes," she quivered.
"What about them?" I growled.
"They're glowing red," she whispered.
The flames increased as I kept thinking about King Vulcan's betrayal. I was losing my mind at the anger I felt and flames were beyond my control. This anger was coming from deep inside me. The one that has been boiling since the first day I met King Vulcan. The anger that he brought me. The anger of Sam's betrayal. The anger that King Vulcan left me at House Hydra. The anger that he was with Libelle and was having a child with her. The anger of his betrayal. My only wish was to go home and be free.
I was consumed by this anger that blinded me. The dome turned into a ball of fire that melted Libelle's metal cage. She commenced screaming, even more, petrifying as the flames consumed her too. She felt my anger. I was out of control.
This time, I started screaming louder than Libelle as my mind ached and the anger broiled to fury into my veins. I whimpered when I felt thoughts race through my mind. A mystery woman. This tribe-looking clan. Spears, knives, dragons, slayers. Dragonslayers...
I've gone rogue. I was purposely summoning this fire. This fury fire. The flames erupted taller and strong and finally, light cracking was heard. The dome couldn't handle this flame. It was shattering. If it shattered, everyone beyond the dome would suffer. So be it. I increased the intensity of my fire.
"Anya!" Libelle screamed.
"WHAT"
"I'm sorry..."
"Huh?"
Three metal spears flew through the air. At the same time the spear pierced my abdomen the dome shattered. I flew back against the arena wall as the spear hung on to the cement wall. The two spears took a shoulder for themselves and I was pinned against the cement wall.
Blood rose and I spat it out, feeling my head hung low. My flames immediately died out and Libelle stopped screaming. Light screams and gasps rang through the air as many saw my pinned body. Libelle was sobbing and staring at me.
"ANYA!" Ryoko shouted from above. My feet didn't touch the ground because the spears pinned my body on the cement wall five feet above ground level. My black hair fell like a curtain in my face. I smiled, it was the curtain closing for my story.
Feet stomped toward me. Ryoko and Rochelle stood below me. Rochelle grabbed Libelle by her armor yelling, "What did you do?!"
Ryoko raised my head with her hands. She gasped, "What happened to your eyes?"
"What?.."I hoarsely said.
"They're dull."
I smiled, "I feel dull."
My injuries from the spears began seeping through the cloth below my armor. I cried, "Ryoko, he lied to me...Is it too much to ask for your freedom? To go back h-home."
The King's presence was made as he crouched beside a sobbing Libelle who shakily pointed a finger at me and sob, "I-I-I killed her."
"You see, he goes to her...I hate him, you know that Ryoko? He's a liar a son of a b***h," I breathed lowly. I was losing blood fast. "I conform myself to know that in heaven-if it exists- I'll be happy with my parents."
"Don't talk that way, Anya, you'll be okay," Ryoko soothed.
Rochelle yelled at Libelle, "What are you waiting for? GET RID OF THOSE SPEARS"
In a swift movement, Libelle made the metal spears disappear. My body fell onto Ryoko's. The big sister I've never had. Rochelle towards us and laid me down on the ground, pull my dark hair back to see my face.
Chris rested a palm on Rochelle's shoulder. "Don't touch me! You said nothing was going to happen to her!"
"Rochelle...I-I can't...Rochelle?" I whispered, my vision was blurring over and I didn't see them anymore.
"Frost" Rochelle said and blew frost onto my wounds to stop the bleeding. My eyelids drooped. "Don't you dare close your eyes, Anya!"
I chuckled, "I'm trying not to close them but I want to die already."
Ryoko's hand trembled in mine but I lost touch with mine and it fell off of hers.
"Ryoko," I began. "Tell the King that I wish he burned in hell. That he's a liar and that I died hating him."
"Oh, there'll be hell to pay," Ryoko laughed and wiped away a few tears.
"Bye"
