I opened my eyes wide in disbelief. I couldn't quite comprehend what was happening. I didn't know how to react or what to say. My gaze landed on Gabriel, but he was focused on his food, his expression still calm. I looked at Rocco, and our eyes met. I could see the hurt in his eyes, and he quickly looked down, focusing on his food.
"It's not what you think," I said, panic rising in my chest. "It's just an insect bite." I said,as I quickly used my hair to cover the mark on my neck.
