MaluChristmas eve is a sunny day. Clara had helped me shopping during the week, in pursuit of a beautiful dress for me to wear at the party and she’s going to help me get dressed before she leaves for her family Christmas celebration. I’m more anxious than usual. I’ve already smoked half a pack of cigarettes and it’s not even noon. My heart is racing, almost throbbing. Besides, I’m feeling really tired. I guess I worked too hard during the week. There’s not much to finish until my exhibition, but I am feeling, just like Helen, very satisfied with the results. I decide to lie down for a while to rest, thinking about having lunch in half an hour and start preparing for the party. I got my nails done, a masterpiece by that manicure from the mall. At least, I don’t have to worry about this.
