Over the past week, I have been trying to avoid the packhouse as much as possible. I don't like how I was staring at him when I went for breakfast last week. I try to avoid as much attention as possible but staring at the Alpha could cause me to gain the unwanted attention. I have kitchen duty today and I would love to just skip it but I know they need the help. I just pray to the goddess that Gamma Tilden doesn't decide to come in and use the kitchen as a hook-up spot again. Dara and I still haven't heard back from Thea on a plan to stop the Beta and Gamma from treating people however they want. I still haven't figured out who Thea is. No one I know seems to know who she is. I got ready for my shift at the bookstore and headed out.
While on my way to work I was looking at the flowers that the gardeners put in yesterday and I ended up running into the Omega who Gamma Tilden was all over in the kitchen. I told her I was sorry for running into her and she turned,
"Watch where you are going."
"I'm sorry for running into you Autumn. I was looking at the flowers and didn't see you." I said.
"Quit looking around and pay attention. You also need to keep your trap shut when things don't concern you prude."
"I'm but I am pretty sure no one else wants you and the Gamma all over each other where their food is being prepared. It's gross to have to sit there and watch." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Quit watching then. The Gamma can do what he wants, where he wants, and doesn't like prudes telling him what to do."
"Like you really know what he likes Autumn. You are just another bag and tag for him. You are another number to add to his body count. Just because I don't screw anything that has a d*ck or shows the slightest bit of attention to me, doesn't make me a prude. It shows I have self-respect. Does it look like I dress like a Prude Autumn? No, it doesn't. I don't hide my body. I know I have the body to catch any guy's attention and I know I get looks all the time but you want to know something? I don't give a flying f*ck about the guys who look my way. I could care less about which guy wants to f*ck me. Sorry but I don't just f*ck anything that looks my way so enough with the prude sh*t."
I walked off before she could say anything and as I was getting ready to enter the bookstore I heard her yell,
"Watch your mouth and back Georgia."
I entered the bookstore and Dara asked if I was ok. I told her I was fine just dealing with stupidity. She stared at me with her brow raised and I told her about my little talk with Autumn. She laughed,
"I can't believe you went off like that on her. It isn't like you to curse like that."
"Yeah I know but I am sick of all these she-wolves thinking they are better than me just because they get screwed by these stupid mutts in our pack. I couldn't hold back any longer, Dara."
"Girl I would have already gone off on them. You know me and my mouth."
"Yeah, I know how you can get." I said as I began laughing.
Dara asked if I was on kitchen duty tonight and I rolled my eyes and said yes. I told her I didn't want to go but I knew I would be needed. She said she heard that Alpha Brandon was in love with my potatoes and I burst out laughing and said does he even know what loving something other than himself means? Dara and I sat there for a few minutes just cracking up at the comment I had just made. One of our customers came up to the register and said she loved the potatoes I cooked last week. I smiled and said thank you. They aren't anything special, just something my mom taught me how to make.
After my shift, I headed to the packhouse, and out of force of habit, I looked up at his balcony. I regretted it instantly. He was standing there in a pair of tight jeans and no shirt. I swallowed hard and looked down. I headed inside and went straight to the kitchen. I did what I needed to do and as I was walking out of the kitchen, Gamma Tilden walked past me and pushed me into the wall. I turned and asked what his problem was and he laughed and kept walking. I turned around and followed him into the kitchen. I pulled out my phone and hit record,
"What is your problem, Gamma Tilden? I did nothing to you besides walk past you and you pushed me into the wall."
He laughed as he turned around,
"Who gives a f*ck if I pushed you. Who are you to me? No one besides some prude Omega. Now get the f*ck out of the kitchen before I punish you for disobeying me."
I turned around and walked out. I headed to Dara's house to show her what I got as evidence for when we come up with a plan to stop the Beta and Gamma. Dara asked when we were going to try to go talk to Alpha Brandon and I froze when she said his name. She asked what was wrong and I said nothing. You know I don't like hearing his name. She laughed at me,
"Come on girl, you know you are secretly in love with Alpha Brandon just like the rest of the she-wolves in the pack."
I snapped my head towards her and my mouth was open like I was going to say something but nothing came out. I tried to argue that I wasn't but I couldn't get the words out so I just shook my head. I told her I'd see her tomorrow at work and headed home.
