Dara and I walked to the packhouse once we left the bookstore. She was on duty today in the kitchen and I was going to go home and relax with a good book. When I was leaving, I heard prude being yelled at me and I rolled my eyes and said grow up. I walked home and as soon as I got in my door, I threw my bag on the couch and went straight to the tub. I got in and opened my book and got lost in the words of Hardin and Tessa. When I got out, I fixed myself something to eat and went and sat on my couch. I decided to turn the tv on and see if there was anything worth watching while I ate. I found something to watch and I sat there and ate my dinner. I know I could go to the packhouse and eat, but there is too much drama and it's too loud for me. So I prefer to sit by myself and eat alone. When I finished eating, I went and crawled into bed and opened my book. I laid there for a while and read. When I finally closed my book, I looked to see what time it was and I saw it was 1:00 am. I put my book on my nightstand and turned my lamp off. I snuggled up to my pillow and passed out.

When I woke up, I looked around. Today was my day off and I didn't know what to do. My house stays clean and I don't really have any friends other than Dara. I debated on laying back down or getting up and fixing breakfast. I decided on getting up and fixing breakfast but when I checked my fridge I realized I forgot to go grocery shopping. I looked around and said screw it. I got dressed and headed to the packhouse to eat. While walking up to the packhouse, I noticed Alpha Brandon standing on his balcony. I rolled my eyes at the shirtless Alpha who stood there in his briefs and continued walking into the packhouse. When I walked into the dining hall, I looked around at all the annoying people I was going to have to deal with this morning. It was still early so half of the pack members weren't even here yet. I went to the kitchen and asked what was on the menu this morning and Dara popped her head up from the oven. She told me we were going to be having eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit, and freshly squeezed orange juice. I licked my lips and she laughed at me. She asked why I was eating in the dining hall today and I said I forgot to buy food. She busted out laughing and said she did too. She told me to go sit down and she would fix it for me and bring it to me. I told her thank you and headed back to the dining hall to find a seat.

While I was waiting for Dara to bring my plate out, Alpha Brandon, Beta Josiah, and Gamma Tilden came into the dining hall and sat at the ranked table. I tried to avoid looking over at that table but for some reason, I couldn't. I felt drawn to that table and I had no idea why. I can't stand any of them so it's weird that I feel drawn to look over there. When Dara came out with my plate I was thankful for the distraction. She asked what my plans were for today and I told her I was going to just be lazy today and walk the packlands and maybe stop in to get a new book or two. She laughed,

"Georgia, you have pretty much read every book in the store. Why don't you just order some new books and you go pick them up?"

"You know I don't like going into town, Dara. There are too many creeps in town and I am afraid that one day I go, one of them will try to kidnap me".

Dara shook her head at me.

"Georgia, Why are you afraid? They should be the ones afraid of you. Did you forget we are wolves? You could kill one of those creeps easily."

"You know I don't want to shift Dara. You know I will only shift if we are under attack."

"I have never understood why you don't like shifting."

"My wolf and I are total opposites. She is the wild side of me and I don't like when she comes out. You know I don't like partying and all the drama with guys. That's why I have stayed single and am a homebody. The only thing we have in common is our style of fashion."

"I always wondered where the schoolgirl look came from." Dara laughed,

We sat there and ate our food and even though Dara was sitting right there with me, my eyes kept wandering over to the ranked table. After a few glances over at Alpha Brandon, Dara asked what I was looking at and I lied and said I thought I saw a bee. She laughed and said I was weird. When Dara got up to take her plate to the kitchen, I looked over at the guys again but this time Alpha Brandon locked eyes with me. I quickly put my head down and tried not to look back up to see if he was still looking my way. As soon as I finished my food I got up and took my plate to the kitchen. Once I handed it over to the Omega doing dishes I quickly left the dining hall and headed back to my place.

When I got home I closed my door and leaned back against it. I sighed and asked myself why I kept looking over at them like I was going to respond to that answer. My wolf Skye chimed in,

"Isn't it obvious Georgia?"

"Isn't what obvious, Skye?"

"You are so clueless. Why the moon goddess paired me with such a clueless human counterpart is beyond me."

"Since I am so clueless Skye, please tell me why I kept looking over at them?"

"Not them Georgia. Him. We like him no matter how many times you say you can't stand him. There is still an attraction to him "

"Him? Him who? Which him are you talking about? I can't stand any of them, Skye."

"You know which him I am referring to, Georgia. Play dumb all you want but I know how you really feel about Alpha Brandon."

I gagged as she said his name.

"Skye, why would I want to be with someone who has slept with goddess knows how many she-wolves? Why would I want to be with someone who parties all the time and allows underaged wolves to drink and do whatever? I can't see myself with someone like that."

"You may not want to be with someone like that but I do. It's not fair that you won't let me out every once in and awhile to party. I want to party Georgia. I want to party with him. I want to meet him Georgia."

"This is why I don't let you out, Skye. I am not a party person. I don't fit in with them and I never will. You and I are complete opposites and I don't want to speak to him."

I pushed her to the back of my mind and sighed. I don't want to be anywhere near him to be able to speak to him. I don't get why I was paired with a wolf who is the complete opposite of me. I decided to go shopping for some groceries and then I would come home and make myself some lunch.
