Kai, Adam, and I were waiting and discussing the progress when I saw Gabriel and Miriam, the alpha and luna of the Nightshade Pack, arrive gracefully, even in this situation. They really played their role well to the dot. Their presence brought a sense of both authority and urgency, their expressions stern as they absorbed the gravity of the situation. Gabriel's piercing eyes scanned the gathered members of his pack, his mind racing with plans and countermeasures. Beside him, Miriam's calm yet intense demeanor complemented her mate's commanding presence.
A murmur of respect rippled through the servants and guards standing nearby.
