"No! No! No! This can't be happening to me!" I looked at my hands and then brushed my lips as a heavy realization shattered the life I had been creating carefully for the past several months. What about my dreams, hopes, and life with Kai?
I had never felt so afraid, not even when I was left to die in that burning lab by Helly.
"Are you alright?" Adam tried to hold me.
I jerked away and staggered back, my eyes widening with horror, my mouth drying up in fear.
"Stay away!" I screamed, clutching my dress.
