"Are you alright?" Kai asked, snapping me out. He was wearing the mask of Luther. "The serpent... Who left this? Are you fine?" He started checking me everywhere, wondering if I was harmed.
"I am fine, Kai." I cupped his cheeks, reassuring him even when I needed it more. I had no idea what was happening to me these days. "Damien visited me."
His eyes darkened with fear as if he was hit by a boulder of truth. "So that was a setup to lure us out! His target was always you. Why?" He zoned out for a second before his attention was back to me."Why was he here, Eva? What does he want?"
"To know how I cured wolfsbane. He kept talking about the past, some weird things. Nothing made sense. He even offered to join him"
His eyes narrowed full of apprehension. Wasn't it obvious I denied Damien?
