CHAPTER THREE

       A lot of things have changed since the attack fourteen years ago, both vampires, werewolves, and humans do live together now, but that doesn’t stop some vampires from showing that they are more superior to us, which made me sick, I wish they knew how much I hate them and I wish I could get rid of every single one of them, I will be the happiest man alive. Though some of them are good and some of them are just born evil, too bad the evil ones made me hate everything about them. So basically everyone is always alert because we don’t know when an attack will before us again, nobody wants to be caught off guard again like they were in their past lives before coming to live in Townsville and if they ever come around again to attack us again I promise them this time around I will be prepared for them, I am going to kill as many as I can, dragging them to the grave with me especially the man who killed my mother.

         The stopping of the bus and the noise of students coming down from the bus made me realize that we have gotten to our destination and that I need to come down from the bus, I can’t believe I did it again spacing out and allowing my thoughts to take over me, no wonder Nick is always worried about me. I always give him the scare of his life every time I zoned out, I need to control my thinking if not for me but for Nick so I won’t worry the man to death and then I will be left alone.

           I came down from the bus and raise my hoodie to cover my hair, I really don’t like exposing my face when I am in a crowded place, as I walked towards the entrance of the school I noticed freshers like my self were busy running around trying to register their courses for their classes coming up soon, old students hugging themselves after not seeing each other for a long time because of the holidays, some holding hands while chatting and various activities going on at the same time. “WOW, college is so much different from high school, a huge difference from high school”. I said to myself as I walked down the hallway to the lecturer’s quarters to go register my courses. Then suddenly someone accidentally bumped into me causing me to fall hard on my ass

         “Hey watch where you are going, dumb s**t,” a boy in a blue T-shirt and a black jeans trouser said as he walked by me without stopping to apologize to me, I thought it was an accident at first but now I  am fully sure he did it on purpose because someone sane is meant to apologize to someone or somebody when they did something wrong or bad.

           “What a loser he is, hope you are okay and I do hope you didn’t get hurt?.” Asked a voice making me turn from the direction  of the rude guy to the direction of the voice

             “No I am fine,” I said

             “O okay, then let me help you up on your feet, “ he said as he stretched his hand towards me

             “Thank you” I replied as I stretched my hands to hold his while he pulled me up, I stood face to face with the most handsome man I have ever seen since I walked into the school, his eyes were light blue like the sky, he was well built and he was tall too a little bit taller than me

              “My name is Jake, faculty of engineering, department of electrical engineering, and you ?”. Asked Jake 

               “Oh my name is Eric, same faculty and department “ I replied him withdrawing my hand from his 

                “Wow nice, have u registered for your courses yet?”

                  “Nah not yet, I was about going there when mister rude guy bumped into me, he is such a jerk”

                “You need to be careful when you say those words and spit something out, I heard he is the son of a rich vampire in town, you know rumors spread quickly. So be careful before you get your self into trouble” said a lady interrupting me from what I was saying

                  “Huh, and you are?” Asked jake 

                 “Oh hi, I am Cassy, a fresher like you guys, and guess we are in the same department, I happened to eavesdropped on your conversation earlier on” she answered with a big smile on her face, she is average in height and quite cute, this one is going to be a pain in our asses I said to my self

                  “Oh I am jake “

                  “I am Eric,  Jake and I were about going to register our courses together, have you done yours?” I Asked Cassy

                 “Nope, I haven’t done my yet, I was about going there my self when I heard you guys talking”

                 “Then let’s go there together, the more the quick and easy for us, so we can go for our classes today,” Jake said as he pulled me and Cassy by the hand. That’s how I became friends with Jake and Cassy, they are both werewolves because in Townsville the werewolves form their groups, just the same way vampires and humans do the same, but I was told it was always when it was time for a war they ally together to defeat their common enemies. No wonder that jerk didn’t apologize but he won’t be lucky next time cause I was able to mark his clothes now I know what he is wearing and I will be able to see him before the end of school and I will get him to apologize to me at all cost. I don’t care if he is the son of a rich vampire or the son of anything, he is rude and also a vampire that tripled my hate for him.

                We finished our course registration on time for our next class and then we hurried to the classroom where the next class would take place. Hurriedly we took our seat at the back of the class because the front was filled up already, that wasn’t an issue for me because right from the time I hate sitting at the front I always love the back, sitting at the front means teacher asking you a lot of questions and getting up to answer the questions means the whole students eyes on you and that’s like been the center of attraction and I hated that

             “Hey Eric eyes at the front, guess who just came in” Jake tapped  me on my shoulders

             “What? Who?” I replied raising my head towards the front when my eyes met him and it’s so happened that it was that same time he decided to look at me too, our eyes met and we stared at each other, he got blue eyes, those blue eyes staring straight at me, my heart skipped for a moment and I quickly avert my eyes from his and look back at my books. Wait he is the weirdo who bumped into me without apologizing to me earlier on

             “ ha faith always has a nice timing for me, Hey Jake he is the jerk who bumped into me earlier today without apologizing “ I reported to Jake and Cassy, of course, he is the one that blue T-shirt and the black trousers he was wearing, I will never forget, the T-shirt has a special design on it that’s how I used in marking him

           “Yeah I know and look he is your coursemate, this is going to be fun” Jake said trying to be funny 

           “Not funny Jake, I am going to approach him”

           “No, you are not,” Cassy said while putting her hands on my chest to calm me down “ remember what I told you you earlier, so there’s no way, I am not going to allow you to approach him

           “Who cares if he is the son of a wealthy vampire,  I am the son of a wealthy werewolf, and do you see my bumping into people without apologizing, he doesn’t have the right to bump into me and still be rude to me. I am going to approach him and that’s final

                                               RYAN POV 

      I  hated the fact that I have to leave my old school to this stupid new school because I was expelled from having a fistfight with someone. I dare not tell my dad about what happened because he will be very pissed with me and it might lead to something else which I am trying to avoid, now what am I going to do with my new environment and new school, I was able to get a well-furnished apartment with my connection or let me say dad’s connection, I have to start making new friends and forming a clique again from the scratch, damn another whole work layout for me again, as my head was filled with all sorts of plans for my new environment and how to adjust to it I mistakenly bumped into someone, who fell so hard on the floor with his butt. I wanted to apologize to him but the words which came out of my mouth shooked me

          “ Hey watch where you are going, dumb s**t, “ I said to him as I walked past him, without turning my back to check if he is okay or not. I know I messed up back there but what the hell do I care, at least he should have looked where he was going to and the hell is with that face of his when he fell, was he trying to look pitiful? ‘ He is a man damn it, one fall won’t kill him. He is a weakling and a weakling werewolf would be fun for me during my stay here. Why don’t I make him my next play toy?

        I registered my course outline on time for the first class but I don’t care about class or anything I just wanted the fun college life will bring to me and besides this isn’t my first time been a freshman, I was a freshman before I was expelled from my old school. I left the school premises to a cafe across from the school

       “ Can I get your order, sir? ” Asked the waitress the moment I start down on my chair

         “ Yeah, can I get warm blood, just normal temperature “

         “ Yes sure sir, coming right away,” she said as she took down my order and left. I glanced out the window and remembered why I was expelled I didn’t mean to cause the fight after been Warned by the VC ( vice-chancellor) of the school it’s just that the guy was been rude to me and trying to hit on my girl when he knows full well that she was mine and mine alone, I hate it when someone touches what’s mine knowing I have marked it my property and I tried approaching him peacefully but the i***t kept trying to boss me, nobody dares to boss me I am the boss, nobody can be the boss except me and yeah one thing lead to another and I punched him first which resulted to a fight and me been expelled. I knew If I had told my dad,  he would have killed both the guy, the school authorities, and the VC who expelled me and punished me, do I tell him? Hell no, why?, you may be asked it’s because I was tired of seeing the sight of blood from humans and werewolves and the ashes of vampires turn to specks of dust. I was lost In thought when the waitress interrupted me that my order has been served

      “ Thank you “ taking a sip from the warm blood, wow look at the time, I guess I need to hurry up for the next class though I have no interest In the class I just wanted to see my course mates and maybe look for the ones I can form a clique with. I opened the door to the classroom and raised my head to check the situation when my eyes met his, those brown eyes staring at me, the same look he used in staring at me when I bumped into him that same eyes before I could access him further, he removed his eyes and was talking with a boy and a girl. I just found him interesting and fun for my new play toy, I giggled as I went to my sit at the end of the corner, six seats away from him. I plugged my headphone to my ear to listen  to BTS new song mic drop, it was getting to my best part when someone slammed their dirty filthy  hands  on my table interrupting me and my song, I raised  my head to check the i***t that is bold enough to dare distract me and then my eyes met his again, why him of all person, I never knew a prey can come to visit his predator to kill him “this will be interesting “ I said to my self

          “ Do you remember me, earlier from the hallway?” the guy said, I look down and upward again to access him, and then I looked into his eyes this time there was anger in it, ” hmmm nice little toy can show some anger, I wanna see more, I wanna see what he can do and the stuff he is made up” I guess the only way to see it is to anger him more

         “ No I don’t, do I need to remember you, if you expect me to mark everybody I meant on the hallway today, then you must be a joker,” I said

          “ You asshole,” the young man said while grabbing my neck with one hand and the other clenched in a fist “ you bumped into me without apologizing and you are denying the fact that you don’t know me “ the young man continued why he tightened the hand on my neck. I see bad temper he got there, now this is the type of toy I like to play with, not weaklings who always abide by my rules and regulations and do everything I asked them to, I needed challenge for once and this guy here was giving me all the challenges I loved, I am going to enjoy this. A smirk appeared at the right corner of my lips driving him to range

     “ What’s so funny,” the young man asked 

     “ Eric that’s enough the lecturer will be here any moment from now and you don’t want to get into trouble on your first day in college, do you? besides this isn’t the peaceful approach you said earlier “ said the blonde girl

       “ Listen to your girlfriend there little lad” this time my eyes turning from blue to red, I was getting too excited for my liking, the whole class gathers around to watch what was happening, some brought out their phones to record the event of the day.  This is perfect this is the kind of fun I want

        “ Hey Eric that’s enough, man enough if any lecturer comes in you will be at fault cause no lecturer was in the hallway when he bumped into you, you got your hands all wrapped up around his neck who do you think they are going to believe. So stop it” said the cute handsome guy beside him with that statement he withdrew his hand from my neck and returned to his seat. The rest of the students returned to their sit one after the other, shows over. I adjusted my shirt and sat back down on my chair placing my chin on my hand, I laughed just a laugh only I could hear

    “ Eric Eric Eric what a nice name for a nice playtoy “ I am going to make him miserable during my stay here, I haven’t seen a prey as interesting as him before. This will be so fun

                “ LET THE GAME BEGIN”
