CHAPTER EIGHT

    f**k I know for sure I am going to be late this time around, my class starts 8:30 and right now it’s 8am and I got little time to go to the university or I will be late and sent out of his class, I hurried down the stairs to see Nick eating his breakfast

   “ dad can we go now please, I am really late and I will get something to eat at the school cafeteria “ I told him but Nick didn’t blink or make a move to stand up instead he continued eating his food “ dad please, I will be sent out of the class and you know I need my grades”

   “ sit your ass down young man and eat your breakfast, if you know you were going to be kicked out of the class when you come in late, you would have got up early and get dressed instead of sitting down on your bed and starring at the ceiling. So now sit down and eat your food that I prepared for you mister” Nick said as he scolded me

    “ okay dad” I said giving up because I knew if I continued the argument I would end up loosing and then still eat the breakfast and then I will be supper late. I grumbled to my self as I took in every bite of the food to my mouth, when we were done eating, we got into the car and he drove off to my  school 

    “ hey pumpkin, call me when you are done with class okay”

    “ okay dad, love you” I told him as I got off the car

    “ I love you too pumpkin” he said as he drove off

    “ pumpkin!!, hmmm that’s a nice name. I think I love the pet name” Cassy said as she threw her hands on my shoulder

    “ hey Cassy, do you have an award for always eavesdropping at people or you just love doing it. You know it will get you into trouble one of this days” I told her

     “ bla bla bla bla, is that your hug and a goodmorning greetings for me, you are meant to hug me and give me a peck on my cheeks and say I miss you Cassy during the weekends” she said folding her hands and giving me the straight look

     “ I am sorry love” I said giving her a hug and pecking her cheeks “ I did miss you a lot. Where is Jake “ I asked her

    “ he is at the cafeteria getting him self breakfast, he kept complaining how he couldn’t get anything to eat this morning bla bla bla and stuffs. You are pretty late today Eric, you damn f*****g lucky classes was postponed till 9:30am. You would have been kissing your grades goodbye. You are one lucky wolf you know”

    “ yeah I am very lucky. How did you know I was around?” I asked her

    “ I can smell your cologne from afar “ she said smiling

    “ how?” I asked her feeling shocked “ how is that even possible “

   “ let’s say that’s my secret ability” she said as she sniffed the air and then facing me she said “ I think your predator is around”

   “ where is he?”  I said searching round the surroundings to see if I can find him “ I can’t see him” I told her 

  “ well check the entrance of the our department, he is about coming out from there” she said and she was right, coming out of our department was Ryan,he was everything perfect with his torn trouser and his top with a leather jacket and of course a combat shoe to match his outfit, I couldn’t stop staring at him until our eyes met and I felt my heart skipped a bit again, this always happened when ever I see him, either my heart race beats faster than normal or my heart skip a beat and then my wolf Carly always feel uncomfortable when we see him, I guess  my wolf and I are on the right track, fighting a common enemy that tried making us his prey, he was gone like a flash of light, yeah it wasn’t surprising as vampires has the ability to run very fast but same as werewolves too but if I am asked who was the fastest between  vampires and werewolves I really won’t be able to answer that because I don’t have an answer to it.

   “ what’s with the eye contact between you guys, are you guys friends now, kind of communicating to see each other without us been present right. Since when did you guys have special bond like this?” Asked Cassy 

    “ are you crazy girl, do you except me to be friends with some one like that, I rather jump into the ocean than been friends with him, if you are trying to figure out the statement it means I will rather die than make friends with him. I am off to class” I told her 

    “ wait!!! What about Jake?. And ain’t you going to get your things from your locker or you are going to class with no text books or you books”

    “ Jake can always meet us in class, except you are hungry and want to go get something to eat too and thanks for the reminder about me going to my locker to grab my things. That’s why I love you”’ I said to her why kissing her cheeks again

    “ yuck stop that, one time is enough. Eric What are you always thinking of, you have been a little scatter brain lately and yes I am hungry too. I thought you would be too but I guess wrong”

    “ I will tell you and Jake later about what I have been thinking about. I am sorry love, I had breakfast with dad this morning. I am off and beside stop saying yuck, you know you love and adore my kisses. Bye” I said running off to our department. I kept on thinking how Cassy has found out her ability and I am pretty sure jake would known his, then what’s mine. Apart from the running fast and the massive strength we do have I don’t think I have anything special to say about me, or am I a worthless werewolf and beside Carly hardly  even say anything to me, he is the shy type. He doesn’t communicate like other wolfs do to their owner, I think he is the cause why I haven’t find out my hidden abilities yet. Moon goddess you gave and introvert person like me and introvert wolf how do you except us too bond, forget it I know she will never reply me. Getting to my locker, I quickly typed the code to open it  and then an envelope fell off my locker, how did this get into my locker and who put it in it, what’s going on here?. Bending down to pick the envelope up and then flipping it back and front I saw no name or address and not even a ink was written on the envelope. Taking my textbooks and books from my locker, I locked it and went to the classroom waiting for Jake and Cassy to come before I opened the content.

    It took them 15 minutes before they came in and then I showed them the envelope 

    “ what’s that and where did you find it from?” Asked Cassy 

    “ I don’t know what’s that and it fell from my locker the moment I opened it” I replied her questions 

    “ what’s inside the envelope?” Asked Jake 

   “ I don’t know, I haven’t opened it yet, I was waiting for you guys to come before I checked what’s inside” I told the both of them

   “ then I will gladly open it up for you” Cassy said as she snatched the envelope from me and she ripped it open and bringing out a paper from inside, then she read what the paper content out loud

   ‘“ I don’t know why I can’t get you out of my mind, I must have you and claim you as mine. I have my eyes on you” she finished reading the content before handling the paper to me and Jake to also read it “ damn that was one bold confession” Cassy said 

   “ who could it be?, who could have put something like this in your locker?” Asked Jake still reading the content all over again 

  “ I really don’t know and I would love to know who would dare did this, if you love me why don’t you just say it to my face “ I said a little bit confused 

   “ are you guys suspecting the same person as I am” Cassy said looking from me to Jake 

   “ and who could that be?” I asked her

   “ Ryan of course, he is the top person on my suspect list”

  “ why would you think he is the one that did this, he doesn’t strike me as some one who can leave a letter in a locker” Jake said

   “ well to me he is the only suspect I know of. Remember when he said you should watch out  for him that he will make you his prey, what if this is the beginning, his very first move he is making. He is trying to make you remember that he still has his eyes on you and he will soon strike anytime soon” Cassy said as she explained why she suspected Ryan and informing us but for me I don’t know if i should suspect an innocent person or not

    “ okay let’s assume that Ryan is the suspect and he wrote  the letter, I wouldn’t call it a letter I rather call it a claim and put it in my locker for what reason, I thought he wanted to play with me and toil with me” I said

    “ exactly because his mood ever since is to either hit Eric or pushed him or take his things from the table without Eric consent, he is just playing with him, then if you suspect him like that then what is the meaning of he has him in his mind and can’t seem to get him off his mind and that he must have and claim him as his, predators and preys don’t have that kind of relationship “ Jake said

     “ exactly what I was thinking too” i added to it 

     “ I believe he is the one, he might have a change of mind. Wait if he is into you does that mean he is gay. Come to think of it , I haven seen him flirting with any female even if he is surrounded by them. If he is gay, I  will totally ship you both” Cassy said why holding her face and eyes beaming with excitement as she started making a heart sign at me

    “ o come off it Cassy, it seems you watch too many bl films this days” Jake said

   “ even if he is gay i will never ever date some one like that, an arrogant i***t. I told you earlier on I rather die than becoming friends with him. Now you are talking about dating. Please this isn’t a joking matter “

   “ I am sorry, fine I won’t ship you guys, but back to what we were talking about, I do really suspect him and all fingers are pointed to him and I feel and believe he is the one” she said drawing our attention back to the matter at hand

   “ I still don’t believe he is the one, what if it’s another random guy or girl that has a crush on me and has been tailing me” I told them

  “ wait you are been followed, really. When did you plan on telling us and when did it start?” Asked Jake and Cassy together 

 “ it started the day I had a fight with  Ryan, since then I have been having this feeling of some one following me and monitoring my every moves” I told them and I explained everything to them how and when it started and that even in the bus I could still feel the pair of eyes monitoring me and all over me

 “ see I was right, he is the one. I am never wrong” Cassy said as raised her hands up doing a happy dance

  “ then if he is the one that kept this envelope in my locker and has been following me, then there is only one way to find out” I told them

   “ which is?, please don’t tell me  it’s exacrly what I am thinking that you are planning to do” Jake asked 

   “ exactly what you are thinking and that’s what I am planning on doing and I know exactly where to find him” I said taking the paper in my hand as I walked out of the class room to the rooftop where Ryan would likely be, while Jake and Cassy tagged along running after me
