7. Author's Update

Hi friends!

So it is with a heavy heart that I have decided against posting any more books on this platform. I take great pride in my work and already, I have been far too exploited as an author.

The threshold for making any sort of money now sits at over 300k words per book. Firstly, my books are not and will not ever be THAT long. Secondly, I refuse to write garbage just to fill up a word count and force you guys into spending $50+ on a book you can easily get for one tenth of the price on a platform we are all familiar with (Am**on), just so that I can make some sort of money here. I will be reworking ALL my books so that I am not in direct violation of my exclusive contract, I will be adding the layers and chapters into my books that I didn't want to add to this platform because something in my gut just told me there was something up and that this was too good to be true.

Even after all this, the best part of this journey as been interacting with you - at least that's one thing this godforsaken app got right. I have loved your comments, I have loved being such a huge part of your journey while you read. It was like getting a live update on all your thoughts as you read my books and I am truly going to miss it.

I often see such promising books on this platform left as incomplete, just left hanging. Now I finally know why. It sucks the inspiration and drive from you when these things happen, and authors often lose their motivation to continue.

I assure you, I will continue to write and bring you stories, but sadly for all parties involved, it won't be here. Perhaps instead of comments, I will enjoy one day reading your reviews!
