The last thing I was expecting to see this night was Lorenzo, standing in front of the king as he gazed in my direction. I smiled widely and suddenly felt ecstatic and my heart leaped in happiness upon the sight of him.
“Lorenzo!” I called.
It didn’t cross my mind that there was a crowd of nobles nearby the front. I was just too happy of seeing him! But then the buzzing room turned into dead silent. I blinked and looked around. The smile on my lips turned into a grimace when I saw that most of the eyes of guests are now in my direction.
