I threw my bag to the side and pulled my shirts from my pants, checking my phone for any messages. The office I worked so hard for became a battlefield all over again, the place I made sure to be a space where I don’t have to prove myself once more but thanks to screwing up a case by being incompetent to handle the obnoxious playboy. I got the door when there was a knock. I didn’t expect anybody to visit since Kurt took over my case.
