After thinking for such a long time, Justin concluded that he should apologize to her for his harsh behavior. He should clear the air between them. When he was about to say something, Fiona's phone rang.
"Hey... Yeah, it's been good... I can't skip work for my marriage, you know... Even if... I miss you guys... (With a laugh). Awe, I love you too, Mason and Emmy... Hmm... Cool, see you at seven... Of course, I have been longing to have fun with my two best buddies; as it is, it has been a while since we have hung out... Okay. Cool, see you then."
In the last part, where she talked about having fun, Justin felt extremely guilty and couldn't say anything to her.
But as for Fiona, she could finally enjoy herself after a long time. Hanging out with Mason and Emily always brings a smile to her face. So today, they decided to hang out at a DJ pub and, for once, she was going to let herself loose. She is not an alcoholic, but once in a while, she drinks.
Mason and Emily are Fiona's best friends. They had always stood up for her when she needed them.
Fiona was very excited about the night, so she didn't realize when they reached Justin's apartment. She hardly had any time left to get ready, so she quickly freshened herself up and changed her clothes. Then, Fiona took her sling bag and left the apartment. Mason was going to pick her up, and,
knowing him, he always came early. So, she quickly had a last glance in the mirror.
Hmm, she looks good. Without even saying goodbye to Justin, Fiona left the apartment. But she did inform Grace that she would be late or might have a
a night out with Emily.
When they all reached the pub, she was immediately bombarded with zillions of questions about her marriage, to which she gave them diplomatic answers. Her best friends, Mason and Emmy, were giving her cynical looks, which she ignored. Soon, Emmy dragged her towards the dance floor, and
they were dancing.
Justin was hurt when Fiona left their apartment, saying nothing to him. But he knew that he deserved it as he had given her the same treatment ever since
they got married.
After a few minutes, his best friend, James, called him and asked Justin to go to the pub with him. As it is, he was bored and frustrated with the turn of the event, so he agreed to tag along with him to get himself distracted. He needs to put his mind together.
Justin and James soon arrived at the DJ's pub. When they entered, Justin caught the sight of Fiona dancing with a girl and a boy. And the boy was pretty good-looking. And suddenly, he was filled with jealousy. Lots of men were looking at his wife.
Fiona looked stunning. The dress she wore looked beautiful on her. Unfortunately, a lot of guys were staring at her, and that boy was dancing with her too close for his liking. So he rushed to the dance floor and dragged Fiona out of the pub. James was giving him curious looks, but he ignored him. She was tipsy, and Justin figured that she was drunk. She was trying to get free of him, but he was strong enough to put her in the car and drag her home. Mason and Emily exchanged puzzled looks. But they knew Fiona would be safe as long as she was with Justin. Unlike usual, she drank more than she normally
does, so it would be better for her to be home with her husband.
The entire ride was filled with silence. But this time, Fiona's hand was curled into a fist, and she was giving Justin death glares. She was breathing hard,
and it seemed that she was trying to control herself.
But as soon as they reached home, she snarled, "HOW DARE YOU? WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK OF YOURSELF?"
To say Justin was stunned would be an understatement. Fiona was clearly was frustrated and angry. So, he didn't dare to speak. His eyes were wide, and he even flinched. He had never seen her angry. Not until now.
She continued poking her finger in his chest. "WHO GAVE YOU THE FREAKING RIGHT TO DRAG ME HOME? I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. FIRST,
YOU GIVE ME YOUR FAMOUS COLD SHOULDERS, THEN YOU GO AHEAD AND ACCUSE ME OF BEING A GOLD DIGGER. SO MR
CARTER, WHO THE HELL GAVE YOU THE IDEA THAT I WANTED TO MARRY YOU OUT OF ALL OTHER MEN IN THIS WORLD? GOD
ONLY KNOWS YOU MIGHT BE A MAN w***e LIKE ANY OTHER MAN I KNOW. I JUST MARRIED YOU BECAUSE YOUR FATHER
BLACKMAILED ME. SO WHY CAN'T YOU LET ME BE HAPPY? YOU ARE A JERK.
I thought at least we could be friends, but you ruined it (she whispers). YOU FREAKING RUINED IT. INSTEAD OF GIVING US A CHANCE, YOU
STARTED BEING A JERK TO ME."
She was shaking with anger. But after a few minutes, she started crying. She was going to say more. But she rushed to her room in haste, keeping her hand over her mouth. So Justin followed her behind. She was barfing. Justin instantly helped her by holding her hair up. She passed out on him soon after,
so he placed her on the bed, wrapped her in a warm blanket, and left the room.
It is necessary to sort this problem out. Justin didn't want to, but he had to. He needed to clear his mind of all those jumbled thoughts and put the missing pieces of the puzzle in their appropriate place. If not, then the matter could only get worse.
Justin needs to get both of them out of this complicated situation, and that, too, very soon. And only one person could help them.
