(Andrea POV)
“She will wake up soon,” a feminine voice said. I wanted to open my eyes, but it seemed like someone had placed a heavy burden on them.
“Is she okay?” I heard a familiar voice.
“Ciro! Don’t worry! She will be alright. She is a warrior,” The girl said, and then I heard a door closing sound.
“Hacker! Please wake up. I don’t want to hurt you. I want to push you away because of all these dangers, but unfortunately, it’s already too late. We pulled you into all this mess with us because we are selfish bastards and can’t let you go. You are like a beam of light in our dark lives,” I heard his deep voice, which was heavy with emotions. I don’t know if he was genuinely saying all these things or if my mind started playing tricks on me. Either way, I was happy to hear all this. The door opened again.
“Ciro! Don’t do that, okay? It was you who pushed her into this state. She was trying so hard to live with us, but you kept pushing her away like a plague, and now…you are trying to seek her forgiveness. Please stop this; we know you don’t have the heart or emotions to do all this.” I heard Rico’s voice, and now, I was sure it wasn’t a dream.
“I know you are angry and hurt, but believe me! I don’t want all this. I don’t want to hurt her that’s why I want to give her a secure and free life away from us. Our enemies are everywhere, watching our every move like hungry wolves, and this is a live example of how messed up our lives already are,” I felt his warm hand on my arm. I already knew from the start that Ciro was more than he showed. He loved his brothers a lot but he cared about me too…that was new to me.
“You two are disturbing her a lot. She needs rest and peace, and I don’t think either of you can give her that now, so please go out and solve your differences while I watch her. I will inform you if she wakes up,” I heard Gabriele’s voice, and a smile appeared on my face.
“Fine!” Rico said, and I heard his receding footsteps, and then another footsteps followed her.
“Come on, Angel! Wake up already. You are scaring the sh*t out of me. It has been two days already,” He mumbled, and I was shocked to hear that. Two days? That’s too much.
“I hate hospitals, but for you, I can bear anything,” I heard his words, and then he pressed a kiss on my forehead. I tried so hard to open my eyes but failed. It seemed my body wasn’t under my control anymore, and it was such a helpless feeling.

“No! Don’t touch me, You bastard! Leave me alone,” I started pushing him away, and he started laughing like a maniac. I pushed him away with all my might and tried to run away, but he grabbed my ankle, and I fell on the stairs. I hit my head on the corner of the stairs, and blood started oozing out. He didn’t care about anything, and he pulled me towards him. I started screaming for help.
“Help! Please help me!!!” I started thrashing around to free myself.
“Andrea! Wake up, Hacker!!! It’s me,” I looked at the person and started thrashing around. He patted my face and tried to wake me up by shaking my body, but I couldn’t hear him.
“Hacker!!!” He gave my body a powerful shake, and I looked towards him. I blinked my eyes a few times to clear his vision. A few tears rolled down my cheeks. I tried to remember his face but failed. I opened my mouth to scream, but before I could do this, he slammed his lips on mine. The kiss was so soothing, so loving, and gentle that every thought left my mind for a few seconds. Slowly, I started remembering everything, and all the memories came back to my mind. I put my hand on his chest, and he broke the kiss. He cupped my face in his hands and looked straight into my eyes.
“Are you okay now?” His deep voice did something to my heart, and I nodded my head in yes. I still can’t believe that Ciro Lombardi kissed me. I looked around and saw Gabriele sleeping on the sofa with his mouth slightly open. Thank god he wasn't snoring.
“He fell asleep. Rico is outside,” He informed me without even asking.
“How are you feeling now? Are you feeling any pain? Do you need medicine? Let me call the doctors,” He was about to press the button to call the doctors, but I stopped him.
“I am okay, Ciro. Are you okay?” I asked and looked at his face. His pinstriped suit looked messy as if he hadn’t changed it in the morning as usual. And I can see lines of tiredness and worry on his face.
“I am okay,” He answered, but his voice laced with exhaustion.
“Let’s go home, Ciro! I don't want to stay here anymore. " After hearing my words, a smile appeared on his face, and he nodded his head.
“Let’s call the doctor first. You need one last check-up before getting discharged,” I agreed.
“And I am really okay. I just hit my head really hard,” I said, touching my forehead. He shook his head with a smile.
“Next time, try to think before acting so rashly,” I nodded like an obedient student and left the room. I didn’t know what I was missing in all these years, but after meeting them, I felt like I had found a missing piece of my life’s puzzle.
