That evening, the tearoom closed and the kitchen quiet, Honora, Flora Heffernan, and Rosalie shared a few quiet moments. Their relief that the inspector had not wanted to see the kitchen was mingled with the obvious targeting of the Garden Arms. After finding nothing untoward on the first floor and signs of habitation in Room 1, Mr Kent had inspected the ground floor storeroom and the taproom.
