A half hour later the breakfast bell in the staff quarters rang. Rio got up, used the bathroom again, returned to his room to pull on his jeans and boots, and made his way, bare-chested, to the kitchen. All of the crew were there except Sonny. As Rio sat down, he overheard Wade say, “Sonny musta got real lucky last night.” The crew at the long trestle table laughed. “You miss that do ya?” Sandy asked, raising his coffee cup to his lips. “Hell, no!” Wade said and pulled Charlie close and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “I got all I need right here. Don’t need to have no more extra-curricular activity.” Rio caught Lex giving him a knowing look.
